If you like to talk to people network marketing may be good. I can recommend you a business making residual income. It is not easy... you won't make money right away. In a real business you have to work at it in order to make money. I you have experience in sales you will be okay.

if your small business means online biz then i would give you things to think about before starting one.
1. you need hosting space to do online biz.
2. you need to setup e-commerce sites if you want to receive payment.
3. you need to have the skill and knowledge to maintain your site.
4. you need credibility to sell stuff to others online. credibility become more important as scam and spam is a very major issues now.
5. you need to compete with millions and millions of other website.
6. you need to drive people to your site so people can take a look at what you have to offer.
7. you need to know how to convert your visitor into customer. why should they buy from you instead of other peoples.

so how much money and time are needed and how many places to go for you to achieve all that once you have come up with a business ideas?

90% online biz failed. why? because they didn't know the overall process to make online biz works from the beginning.
just take a look at what people usually asked at yahoo answers.

1. how to make a website? free one or paid one? 3 month find ways to make a good website.
2. i don't have traffic? 6 months learn how to drive traffic.
3. people don't buy my stuff. why? 3 months learn how to convert visitor into customers.
4. spend thousand of dollars for hosting, advertising, website graphic, website maintenance and much more other tools.

profit? very negligible to even mention. they just waiting the time to quit.

that is the story all over the net. but sadly that step is continue to follow by a lot more of people who want to setup a biz online.

i been around online for one year now. looking for answer why
online small biz failed so miserably but then i hear advertising companies and internet marketer claim increasing in profit year after year. it doesn't sound right to me.

There are many business ran from home now. Would you like to work full time or part time?. If you are into starting a business allow time for growth do not expect results overnight.
