If it is a fund raising for a sick person, I suggest you put coffee cans with a small slit in the lid for money to drop through in as many small business will let you put the can in their store. A grocery store is very good put it at the end of check out. Put a picture of the person and a brief paragraph about what you need or what what is wrong with the person. If it is a fund raiser for a school or organization a old fashioned paper drive is very profitable. Good Luck !

sell chocolate or stuff like that. Have a spaghetti or enchilada or rigatoni dinner. do something weird and sell tickets for people to see you do it. Have the dinners at a school and have people just drive up to pick up their dinners to go. It's a lot easier to clean up. Do a pancake breakfast. run a weekly bingo parlor at a church or a school -have a raffle. sell homemadecrafts. some things are not legal in some areas so be sure to check that out.

Flowers are always good if you have a "closed base" like an office or a school and there's a holiday or something coming up.
My office wanted to raise money for some secretary with cancer, so they sold flowers purchased wholesale around the office. I think the grand total from the sale was like $2500 after the $300 spent on the flowers.
Everyone does candy and those stupid gift catalogs. You could sell paper cutouts that people who donate a dollar can sign their name on and post the someplace or a group in my area made arrangements with a local bar to donate a dollar of each drink served in exchange for the group promoting the bar like crazy all over the place.
