yes, but it's easier to get a diamond and sort of fluff it up until it becomes a piece of coal |

Yes if you could somehow find enough pressure to do that yourself you could. In all honesty though, you probably won't. Good look trying. |

You're about 50 years too late if you're thinking of setting up a business. "The first person who grew a synthetic diamond according to a reproducable, verifiable and witnessed process was Howard Tracy Hall while working for General Electric in 1954."
The early ones were too small to use as gemstones in jewelry but were used extensively in industry. There are a number of companies now in business making gem-quality synthetic diamonds |

If by really hard you mean several hundreds of thousand or even millions of pounds of pressure, along with about the hottest temperature you can imagine then sure! |

No bloody chance. |

Yes in theory. That's basically how synthetic diamonds are made.
But you'd have to subject it a temperature of 2,000° C and a pressure of over 75,000 atmospheres. That's done in a hydraulic press which is a bit big to fit in the average living room... |

yes but you need to ask superman to do it like he did in superman 2 |
