I'm a Man | If I offer a "second chance offer" to someone on ebay, can the winning bidder still give me negative feedback? |
I have a cloned troll who is making accounts and bidding ridiculous amounts of money on my bids (so I earn no money on ebay). I reported him to ebay on numerous occasions (but today for cloned accounts). If I offer a second chance offer to a real buyer, will I avoid the negative feedback from this member? I know he won't pay. Also, could I sue this guy if he continues to ruin my ebay auctions? He has created 7 accounts today to try and ruin my ebay bids. |

Any winning bidder can leave negative feedback on anything. I believe you can only avoid it if you file a claim with eBay to have the transaction canceled due to non-payment. I would suggest putting the most restrictive "buyer requirements" on your listings. The one that will be the most difficult for him is "block buyers who don't have a paypal account". So in order for him to bid with a clone account he now has to set up a paypal account every time also. This is much more difficult for him. This will make it easier for the ebay/paypal "red flags" to go up and ban the guy for good. How did you report him? I would suggest trying to get an actual person from Ebay or paypal even on the phone to discuss it. |

You need to contact ebay to get him to stop creating accounts. As a seller you can't leave a buyer negative f/back, seems like this person is trying to interfere with your selling which is grounds for immediate suspension. |

He may paste you with a negative.. but if you can prove he's a fraud or underage, they will remove the neg(s). He wont know you made the 2nd chance offer until his ID is suspended and thats too late to neg you.
I used to deal with jerks like that by giving them unpaid bidder strikes.. and right before I'd give them their 3rd( which is immediate suspension) I'd paste them with a scathing negative feedback. It was a free and open shot, and foolish not to take..
That said..others here have a good idea... block him, and his bids disappear...
