If I were selling.....?
If I were to sell some scrapbook home made Die Cuts on e-bay, what would be a good price to start things out as? I started a set of 7 Bumble Bees out for $.60 and they sold, but is that too much or too less for them? There were 6 little bees and 1 larger bee. They were all enough to fit into one regular large white envelope.
My Ebay ID is Jenna7575. If you look it up you will see some of the things I am selling and the prices for them.
the way I do it is take the cost of the item for you to make it or get it then multiply it by 3-4 for your buy now price. Have the starting bid be double what it cost you. So either way you will be making atleast double.

WHy dont you look up simalar items that you are selling to see the prices that other people are selling theirs for?

I agree with the first answer.

sounds like business is picking up already!

I like to start things like that out at a dollar but look around at similar items and see what their starting bid is.

In my opinion I would make it a 7 day auction and start it out low, because it will go up. Don't put a reserve, though because people hardly ever try to buy something thats a reserve. hope that helps! :)

it depends on how much time and effort you put into making them,as it stands you know they sell for $.60 so figure out how much they cost you to produce and add in your time to make them, then if that works out to be less than 30 cents you know you are going in the right direction and will be in profit.
compare like for like on ebay and you might be able to bump up the price and have a bigger profit margin but dont go pricing yourself out of business by getting greedy or you might find custom going elsewhere,so in short if your happy to sell at twice the cost to you then do that and be proud of the things you make.

It's Ebay. The way to tell what things are worth is based on what people pay for them. Since you sold them for $.60, they are worth at least that much.
Consider selling a batch with a 1 cent initial bid and no reserve. Then watch to see what they sell for. This only works if there is a certain demand for your product. If only a couple of people per auction you run are interested, it won't give you a decent idea of worth. If many people want your item every time you run an auction, the price will rapidly rise to just a tiny bit over what your items worth is.
If your item is a low demand one, then try rising the price in one nickel increments until it no longer sells. When that happens, back off a dime or so.
