Basically I am in the process of starting up a limo hire business with my partner in my local area. We are building up our business plan at the moment, and basically we need some feedback on what you, the public think. If you needed to hire a car and we where local, would you use our services? I think your chances are good if you target the right market.
Weddings, Company functions, Special events, Funerals, but I think for the general public there would not be such a great demand. OK, I do not live in the US and cannot really identify a reason other than the above-mentioned to use your services.
I would suggest you write to a few big companies, get a few contracts..then you have references and it will go mouth-to-mouth anyway if your service is good.
Good Luck, and if you need a driver and you can fly me and my wife and kids over there, maybe I will be part of it!!!

Looks good i would do away with the newest limo company in Durham it shows amateurish tendencies try much sought after professional drivers of the highest quality's and the price that is the boggy corporate hire is different to hen nights don't mix the two professional status must not be mixed with hen nights do away with advertising hen and stag nights don't go to them they will come to you i feel you are over selling a little it is a good web sight but so are lots more people love specials but looks good just a few points i think is important good luck in your new venture Dave |

Looks good. Maybe a bit too much on the homepage about the drivers' histories. When you hire a car you're looking for a nice car for a good price, you don't really care if the driver is a member of a guild or not - you might want to reflect that on your site.
Also, you expose yourself as being new to the business. Why? This might spell out a lack of experience and no financial security. If you do wish to advertise that you are a new firm then consider an on-entry aggressive pricing strategy i.e. undercut the competitors on price for the first few months. A lot of business will be repeat business and a lot will be from word of mouth. Remember that nearly all businesses expect a loss in the first year, so low price strategy is not a bad thing and building your customer base before incremental rate rises is a good option.
Also remember that marketing and advertising are not necessarily an expensive thing. Pub and centre notice boards, newspaper ads, parking the car outside nightclubs etc.
Having not seen the competition (fleet and price) it's hard to say how competitive you will be but everything looks pretty good so far.

I worked for an extremely successful limo company for a long time. We started out as a two-car operation working out of a local gas station, and wound up with a fleet of over 100 cars. I can tell you what worked to make them successful. Get yourself some good salespeople, and get out there to the corporate people. Big companies. Offer them incentives to use your company for their needs. Big companies need cars to bring people to and from airports, and to meetings in other cities. We would sometimes do 30 runs a day for just ONE company. They also use them when they have big board meetings. Other types of jobs, like weddings, and nights out, etc. will be the least of the work you wind up doing. Our company made MILLIONS just doing corporate work.
The things that kept people coming to us were:
1. The cars were guaranteed to always be on time. The rule for our chauffeurs was they were to be waiting outside the door 15 min before pickup time.
2. Cars were always updated, and CLEAN.
3. We kept ice, fresh bottled water, and a few choices of soda in the cars at all times. When booking a reservation, we would find out if the client wanted anything like coffee, and would have it available if they did.

I'd be up for it, if I lived in the states.
If I did travel to the states and I was in the local area, my friends and I would ask for your services on a special night out. You've set quite a reasonable price. (although I've never hired a limo before).
The website looks professional and you've included some pics of your cars. The personal touch of the signature on the end makes you guys look friendly too.
