Do you have a hobby that you love to do? Something that makes working not feel like work? And you're good at doing it? Is there a possible market for it? (possible customers?)
If you do have something like that, then there is your business possibly. :)
For instance I have always enjoyed crafts and am known for making memory boxes for people to keep their momentos from special events in. I loved making these things, it rarely felt like work, I am good at it, and there's a market for it. Sooo.... when I got the chance I made a business out of them. :)
Another route to consider is if there are any organizations you admire or like to support or if there is a way to possibly turn a current support you have for a certain group/organization into a business. (ex. someone who has a passion for helping kids get off the streets after school could start a youth hang-out place as their business :) )

Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

For $1000 dollars, i think the best homebased business is by joining a Multi-Level Marketing Corporations in your country like Avon, Sara Lee, Tupperwares, Herbal products, etc... More power and good luck!!! |

I think I would buy broken computers on Ebay and fix them. Then I would sell them back on Ebay, because 1000 is not very much money to start any sort of business. |
