One thing I would not do is start any web based business. I've tried a couple of them and they failed miserably. The get rich quick idea is dead and there isn't any such a thing.
I would go into real estate, which is not novel, but owning apartments can be lucurtative, although there are expenses involved. Real estate is always a good investment.
It would be difficult to begin a 'theme' business because a couple hundred thousand wouldn't buy you much. I never believed in beginning a business in debt.

A theme restaurant, with different themed rooms. There would be the castle room that served eat with your hands food, the little house on the prairie room that had a fireplace and food on tin dishes. Then there would be a glamour room that looked like the fanciest dining room in the best mansion, a luau room complete with sand....etc... All of these rooms would be for private dining and fairly expensive to reserve.
