A restaurant. People have to eat no matter how bad the economy. |

I am amazed at the number of folk who fancy a coffee shop or restaurant...i have one of these & believe me it's not an easy option. the hours are long, the thanks are little, food legislation, employment law, bookwork, taxes,VAT etc are a complete headache. It's not easy being self employed, trying to make a living in the current british economy, everytime you make a bit of money the government says ''thank you for working so dam hard, i'll take a big cut of your hard earned dosh now'' |

I've started several businesses and currently own my own. It should be something you know about, but doesn't have to be. I haven't known everything or even a lot about the stuff I've started but the information is out there. If you're starting a restaurant, there are lots of books out there to teach you. You don't have to know how to cook, though it would be a good idea to know how to cook what's on your menu in case you don't have a cook for that day or you have to train the cook on cooking your menu.
My current business is a business consulting and development firm where I help business owners (or peopl) write business plans, start the business, develop it, find funding, fix problems within the business, etc.
I have also owned a retail clothing store and a bath products location. It's great owning your own business but there are key things you should look at. How much time do you want to dedicate to it? Can you run it by yourself or train a new crew if you have to? How much will it cost and what is the potential for return? Do you have to have licenses and what is the cost and the time to get one?
The top businesses I would suggest might be a restaurant (if you are smart and have a plan first), a bar, nail shop, hair salon, car wash, and daycare (this is tricky because the bulk of your profits will be with afterschool kids which means a couple of vans adding to your expenses). With the right planning, these are cheap businesses to start, fairly easy to operate, and have a high return.

Something that you really know about.
I deal with businesses all day long. many of my customers bought a business because they thought it would be easy money. In reality, they have no clue. They don;t last long and either close or sell at a loss to recoup some of their money.
Do your homework. Find something that you really love and you know about. Take some business classes and get a job working for someone else in that field first. |

If you want a business helping others and still making good money, you should try opening your own business through my company. You receive free benefits and free training, support from people who you can question and have started out just like you. You earn residual income, which means that you keep getting paid for the work you have already done and your business will be willable and sellable.
The best part is that it is only $25 to start this month of February and that fee pays for all the materials that they overnight to you to get you started. If you want to know more, contact me through my profile or go to this site. |

I would start a business in hospitality combined with entertainment and touring - something like Butlins but on a professional scale, with good entertainment and special places to visit - so that people will remember their experience for years to come, none of this cheap deals. |
