If you were to make a babysitting flyer, what would you put on it to get buisness?

i want more babysitting jobs! Or what are other ways to get jobs

Here are some thoughts off the top of my head:

Have a big bold headline: "You Deserve an Peaceful, No-Worries Evening! Call (your name) for Babysitting: Trusted, Experienced, Reliable, No Drama.

- Have a good quality nice smiling picture of yourself, with a baby. Color photo if you can.

- Are you certified or trained in any kind of formal way (CPR, Lifesaving, babysitting certifcations)? Go into detail - how many hours of training , etc

- Get some quotes from your current customers, with permission to use their full name and street (but not the house number). For example, "(Your name) is always so reliable, she's on time, and the house is always clean and organized and peaceful when we get home. Little Johnny really likes her!" - June Cleaver, Oak Way.

- Put a coupon with the dashed-line border on it, with an expiration date 2 weeks out. Inside it say: "Good for 1 hour FREE Mutual Checkout" You just need to schedule at least a day in advance, and I'll come over for a full hour (or you can come to my house) and we can get to know each other and your precious little angels! No charge, no obligation."

Plus, another coupon, also with 2 weeks expiration, saying "You Deserve a Nice Evening Out! So why not now? This coupon is good for 1 hour free (3 hour minimum), but you have to use it before xx/xx/2006. Why so soon? Because I know you'll put it off - and I also know you deserve a relaxing, romantic, fun, worry-free evening out RIGHT NOW.

Make sure you put your name and phone number on it, and HOURS of availablilty! For example:
"Please don't call after 9 pm"
"I can work till 2 am but I need 2 days advance notice"

etc.

Then you can hand it out door-to-door, give them to everybody you know and aske them to pass it along, leave a stack at every daycare that will let you, at Blockbuster, at the grocery store, at the baby store, at the Chuck-E-Cheese... etc.

I have a 1 year old & if i were looking for a babysitter I would want to know about experience, age range of kids that you are able/willing to babysit, safety certifications (i.e. red cross), times that you are available (days, evenings, w/ends), references available, & pay rates.

You may also want to mention any other services that you could perform (pet sitting, house sitting, dog walking). I would prefer to have one person who I really trust to do all of these things, rather than a bunch of people who I kind of trust.

The last neighborhood that we lived in had a monthly flier where babysitters like you advertised all the time. You might want to see if your neighborhood has one.

I would put the rates that I charge...References are furnished upon request...The hours that I would be able to work...If I work from my home or if I would work from your home...

Well first of all flyers are no good. 1. you never now who's going to respond 2. No one pays attention to them. First off I will tell you I pass about 10-15 flyers everytime I leave the grocery shop for babysitters looking for buissness. None of them catch my eye or are interesting. So second thing, if you do decide to do a flyer bold colors, interesting lettering, cute. You want to send a message in a flyer. Make it eye popping like colors like pink and blue, but something cute and bold. You want people to notice them but don't make it SO out there people are like "Do I REALLY want to leave my child with this person???"because that's not good either. And if you post one and someone responds, set-up a time you can meet the person and their children, and decide early if you can handle these children, and pay is good and or reasonable, because you wouldn't want to get caught up with a job that you don't like and or want. Or if you decide that you don't like the idea of putting work into flyers, or don't want to risk no one responding and want to find a fast easy solution right away, try the person-to-person aproach. Ask each of your current employers to tell 1-3 people about your buissness or to reccomend you to their friends and or neighbors, who have children.By doing this when asking you might want to reasure these people that they will still be priority and your first class employers and explain how you want/need to expand your buissness. They will hopefully understand and reccomend you to people. Otherwise you can also look around in places where people in your area are allowed to post flyers, or messages, because usually they have flyers for people in-need of baby-sitters, you might be able to get a new position this way. Depending on your income from baby sitting and how much you will make paying for the cost of something like an add in the yellow pages or phone book. Then hopefully someone will see your add and call you inquiring about things like pay, children, schedule,etc. but the buissness from that might not come to quick and will come gradually, and still all the buissness you get won't pay for the add, so think about how much money buissness you will get from this add at minimum and see if that is more than enough to have covered the cost of the add. Which ever you choose should probably work. Good Luck! : )

I would have someone that is good with computers to help me with the graphics and definitely make sure you spell everything correctly! What I would look for in a baby-sitter is someone who is dependable, not ridiculously expensive, clean and safe environment, and that they know what they are doing. If you work hard, you will do great! :)
