me and my friend are going school shopping really soon together, and we want to know what to do to make a lot of money. we need rather a lot of it, because we are getting a whole new wardrobe. well we're too young to get a real job, and there is no one around to babysit, mow the lawn, or wash their car for. so we dont know what to do, and we're going shopping REAL soon. my mom said maybe we could draw illustrations for greeting cards, because we are really good at drawing. the only thing is, we dont know how to start doing this. any suggestions on ANY kind of job?? our families arent rich at all, so they cant reallly give us money. |

I have heard of "rent-a-kid" type places, but to be honest, I don't trust them, because you would be working with strangers, and with so many perverts around these days, trouble could happen. Your safety is more important than money.
In my city, some people collect pop cans, and once you've collected a very large amount of them, you can take them to the scrap yard where they collect various metal parts, and get money for them. The price is per pound, I don't remember how much. You'll be collecting for a while, but if your family collects pop cans, that's an option, and you could also ask other people you know to save their pop cans for you. That's another way to make some money.
Another option would be to sell Avon or Mary Kay, and since most girls your age wouldn't have money, here's where you and your mom could be a team - your mom could pass out the brochures at her work, (she would probably be getting the majority of your customers), and you would pack up the items in their bags- with the two of you splitting the profits, 50/50.
You could also have a yard sale, and what better time to do that, when you're getting a new wardrobe?
