Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

First, get some formal education in either business administration of commerce and finance. The current tax and business climate in this country pretty much precludes going into any business without an understanding of what it takes to be " in compliance ". Remember, you don't run it, it runs you. |

you should probably go to college first. unless you're extremely mature, i wouldn't recommend starting a business at that age. no one is going to take you seriously. atleast take some small business classes at your local community college. you need to come up with an idea first. don't go expecting to get an idea that will make you rich from yahoo answers. |

You need to work for a hotel first. When y6ou work in the field in which you're interested, you learn from other's proven experience and you won't be reinventing the wheel all over again wasting precious time and resources. Start there show hard work and work up to a managerial position and after that you should have enough working knowledge of the business (book keeping, maintenance, supply purchase etc.) that you can consider your own business.
The other option is a formal education with hotel management with an emphesis on business being your main goals. They probably take an equal amount of time, but with working you're not paying tuition and are actually emplyed and makinf some money too. Be patient and be realistic. A luxurious hotel doesn't fall into anyone's lap without some major perseverance. If you want it bad enough, you can do it. If you want it bad enough you'll put in the necessary work. You can't build the full-view penthouse of a building without building the foundation and the other floors first. |

Why not take a look at a home based business which has a support system designed to make sure you succeed. The problem with just starting a business is your lack of experience and probably training, most new businesses fail within their first 3 years.
