Im looking to start some kind of small online business from home.?

i have about $10,000 to get it started up. ive tried finding wholesale dealers selling different things like shoes electronics and a bunch of other things without any luck. any ideas on what type of small business would be a good idea or where i can find wholesalers???

Do not worry there are NO FEES at all to be paid.

I would only go into the wholesaling business, if you have your distribution channels established or know exactly how to establish them, otherwise you could get stuck with lots of inventory, or end up doing lots of work and not really making a profit. It isn't as easy as it sounds. There is advertising, marketing, shipping, returns, and customer service to consider.

Make sure you do all of your research before investing in any business as there are MANY scams out there.

I have a site called www.homebusiness-yes.com which I have not done much with recently but it covers some basics.

Things to watch for:
1) If they say you can be making money in 15 - 30 minutes, they are nuts and liars at least in my experience.
2) Do NOT GIVE a credit card number without checking www.ripoffreport.com because I lost money by NOT CHECKING.
3) Always read the "Terms of Service", perhaps even download or print all of it and file it so you can find it. LOOK FOR terms that say something like "if you do NOT cancel at the end of the 10 day trial your cc will be charged $49.95 a month regardless of whether you use anything on the site or not". I ran across a scammer at www.cgiconnection.com who did just that to me and would only refund the last month even though I only used it once! I didn't read the terms of service!
4) I see others saying things like 'the only ... good one ... is Sxxxxx " THERE ARE NO ONLIES!
5) Before you sign up for anything do a Yahoo search for his name and see what people say about him. They may just be complainers so take it with a grain of salt.
6) There are very honorable compaines like The Internet Marketing centre that gave me 6 months or so or I would get my money back if not satisfied except for shipping. If you go to www.homebusiness-yes.com, you will find the link there.
7) There are other good ones but also lots of people making it sound like a breeze!
8) I probably lost up to $300 from scammers, but the other approx. $700 I paid was worth every penny. Because of Derek Gehl at the IMC, and Tom Antion, whose book "The Ultimate Guide to Electronic Marketing for Small Business" and some others, I was able to take a current website I had and get it to page one of Google from about page 20 or so where no one ever looks except a few stubborn people like me!
9) Remember that even if you pay by PayPal their protection policy does not extend to services, just tangible goods.

10) Since you have so much money, perhaps check out Joe Clayton and his IBSSOFTSHOPS. He seems like a very honourable guy and has some great software. However he has promised more than he can deliver in the past. I think he got swamped. Now he even gives you his phone number and tells you to call him on certain hours for help. Check this one out for sure. [And to think I don't know what my affiliate number is!!!] He has some great ebook software. Also the latest is Playit which I purchased when it was cheap. But it is an amazing product. They keep coming out with more things you can do with it. Mention cpedley and he might be nice to me!

A friend of mine sent me this story. I like it and would like share it
with you.

Here is the story:

This week I had a very interesting situation where I was acting as a
support person for a friend in a compensation case. My friend had
decided before the case started that she was worth approx $70,000 in
compensation. If she could get $70,000 net after all her legal fees
were paid, she would be happy.

The case was in mediation. We were in one room and the other party was
in another room and the mediator went between the two rooms making
offers and counter offers. My friend had a very strong case and the law
was definitely in her favor. Her legal fees had been covered and so
all there was to do was agree on the final amount of compensation.

The First offer of $69,000 came with a threat and a bluff that if my
friend did not accept the offer then it would proceed to the supreme
court where she stood the chance of losing it all, or equally gaining
more. But this would be some months away and there would be a lot more
legal costs involved. My friend was ready to accept $69,000. In her
mind that was just $1000 short of her mental minimum and she could live
with that. But before she could accept her Barrister flat out refused
the offer and said to my friend â€¦.

"You are worth more!"

My friend had a really hard time accepting that she was worth more and
in her mind she was facing defeat. The next offer came in at $105,000
and she was elated this was over 50% more than she had ever dreamed
that she would get. Her Barrister, smiled, refused the offer and said.

"You are worth More!" And immediately drew up papers for a final offer
to the other side saying that if they did not accept then he would take
them to court and basically cost the other side more in compensation
and a lot more in legal fees.

The Barrister wanted $200,000 for my friend, his client. Because he
said "She was worth more". My friend had put her value at $70,000 her
Barrister had put it at almost three times that amount. The offers kept
coming and the Barrister encouraged my friend to hold her ground.
A final offer came in at $190,000.

The Barrister said "No! you ARE worth More"
And pushed even harder for the $200,000. The case finally settled with
my friend getting paid $195,000. After her legal fees had been paid she
received a net of $190,000.

I was in total awe of this Barrister. He not only knew his job, He was
good at it. But the real awe, to me was the value that he gave his
client. He valued his client to be three times more than what she had
valued herself at. He was paid a flat fee. Win, lose or draw. It was no
skin off his nose if his client got paid $70,000 or $200,000 he was
paid the same amount. In my mind he not only gave his client value for
money, but he also showed his client that she was worth a lot more than
she thought she was.

As I drove home I could not get the words "You Are worth More" out of
my mind. I also reviewed the Barristers attitude and mannerisms. He was
very friendly, had a great sense of humor. He was quiet yet strongly
confident in his own ability to help his client. In other words, he
really knows his business. And for his business to succeed he knows
that he has to make sure that he gave value for money and he also
increased the personal value of his clients. Not only in cold hard
cash, but also in emotional and mental value. My friend is still quite
stunned at the outcome.
But one thing is for sure she now knows "she is worth more".

There is a lesson here for all of us. We all work online trying to
develop a home business to either replace or at least subsidize our
main income source. But how much do we think we are worth?

I believe we are all worth at least one million dollars. The question
is do you believe that?
Many of us would like to believe, but just can't. In fact, for many, if
I suddenly gave them a million dollars they would very quickly get rid
of it until they were back at their own perceived value. For many,
that would be Just Over Broke. We often read of poor lottery winners
being worst off a few years after winning the lottery than they were
before hand.

The reason being is that they truly believe that are not worth more. So
they erode the money until they are at the level they see themselves
at.

There is a simply way to over come this problem and that is to slowly
build our income, and increase our self-worth at the same time. A great
