Yes. Try Craigslist first. They won't charge you fees for listing. They won't charge you to upload pictures. Customers will be local so they can come pick up your items and you don't have to worry about shipping.

1. Set a low starting point with no reserve. Things tend to find their own value.
2. Take good (and lots of) photos
3. Make your shipping reasonable. Not a source of extra profit.
4. Do not offer shipping to anywhere but US and Canada. This is a serious pain in the butt.
5. Don't sell your motorcycle until spring. Too late for Christmas present, and too early to ride most places.
6. Don't take payment by any method but PayPal
