BoSox2525 | Im trying to find an online job that isnt a scam and that you dont have to fork out money? |
I want a part time job doing some work online. Nothing that is a scam, and nothing that you have to pay to join. Is there anything like this out there? |

There are a couple online jobs that I can refer you to, and if you qualify for the positions, then you can apply. They are not a scam, they are legitament jobs and are registered with the bbb. You can either take on a part time position or a full time position. Understand that you will not make a lot of money working from home for someone else. Employers try and pay out the least amount that they can. That is one reason why the minimum waged law is in effect. If you want to work online and make more then minimum wage, then your best bet is to collaborate with an industry that's based online, and have your own business within their business and run it online. This gives you a bigger income opportunity. The same opportunity as a traditional business, without all the over head expenses and it costs a fraction of the amount of money.
There's an article that addresses both types of online work that I highly recommend you read. It will give you a lot of information on both aspects. If you choose to work online for someone else, it has a couple places in which you can apply for. http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-gGICILgncrAcleHpY.CJKODazA--?cq=1
Good Luck to you! |

"If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).
http://working-from-home-ireland.blogspot.com/
Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.
http://my-data-entry.blogspot.com/
I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

I make money online doing survey sites and GPT sites. You don't have to pay for anything and you can start earning money as soon as possible. I have been paid by these programs through checks and paypal. You can check the website on my profile page for info on all of the websites that I earn money from. I hope this helps with you trying to earn some money. Good luck. |

Hello Bosox,
Yes, there many companies that hire telecommuters on a part time basis. For a good free comprehensive list of legitimate companies that hire at home workers go to http://www.workathomedesk.com then click on Work At Home Directory. They also have updated job postings. Depending on your experience and skills you should be able to find something there. Good luck! |

There are many ways to make money online. The real trick is sorting out the legitimate money-makers from all the scams that are out there (many of which get listed at Yahoo Answers, I'm afraid).
There's a terrific list at eHow that gives more than 25 legitimate ways to make money online. The list covers everything from writing (articles, blogs), to selling photography, to (believe it or not) getting paid for online jury duty, surveys, and focus groups.
There's even a site for making money listening to music and rating it, and another for playing online games.
None of the sites in the article ask you for any money. And while they won't make you rich, you can begin to build up a respectable income.
Check it out at:
http://www.ehow.com/how_2254361_money-internet.html
How to make money on the internet, scam-free
The list is updated regularly, so you may want to check it once a week or so.
Two other lists worth checking out are these:

Legitimate money-making sites

Twenty Scam Free Ways to Make Money Online
Lastly, take a look at:

Earn $500 an Hour (Really)!
It's a bit of a tease, actually, but it has some good information.
Good luck! |

There is a lot of competition for work from home jobs. I got started using online freelance sites, and ultimately built a business with clients that I found through them.
http://www.scriptlance.com/ (Free - Best in my opinion)
http://work-at-home-tips.blogspot.com/ (Excellent info)
http://www.gofreelance.com/ (Free - Good site)
http://www.elance.com/ (Biggest, but kind of expensive)
http://american-data-entry.blogspot.com/ (Excellent info)
The first link is mainly programming, but there are other jobs there as well.
You may have more luck with the third website. |
