In the business letter can we use Dear Sir or Dear Madam.?
i feel absurd to use dear in the letter but my husband says it is O.K.what do you people say.
'Dear' is fine. You can begin 'Dear Sir/Madam' if you don't know who the letter is for. An even more impersonal opening is 'To whom it may concern'. Hope this helps
Will never get to level 6
i wd say u write the person's name for eg : Dear Mr. XYZ instead of sir/madam..that is outdated now

It's good.
Some tips to remember for a business letter:
1) If you greet the person with his name,
e.g. Dear Mr Smith, make sure you end with "Yours Sincerely" or "Sincerely Yours", otherwise you use "Yours Faithfully".
2)In a second paragraph, you will want to give a specific example of how you benefited from your contact with this person. Be sure to thank him/her for his/her time and efforts on your behalf.
3)Indentations are no longer required.
4)The body paragraphs should be single spaced in a business letter. But you should double space between paragraphs when your letter contains more than one paragraph.
That's all i have for you! (: Good Luck!
theres a dream in the future
a really formal way to put it is;
To whom every it may concern,
the paper xpression
Dear Sir/ Madam
Write it EXATLY as the above . You dont know WHO, what GENDER may be reading the letter.

I've always learned NOT to use "dear" or "love" to start or end business letters.
I've always started off with "To whom it may concern:" or something along those lines and ended with "Sincerly,"
