I used to use Ebay an awful lot but found the fees really expensive and to a point unfair that I am even charged when the items do not sell.
I have stulbled upon www.tazbar.com, a relatively new site, listings are free and only a small percentage is charged when you make a sale.

Yes, eBay fees are constantly going up. The growth of eBay users has leveled off so to keep share holders happy, they have to raise fees to hold up their stock.
Unfortunately, there are not many other choices out there. You can try to use one of those sites no on has heard of and your item won't sell or will sell for a fraction of what it would sell for on eBay. We can grumble about the fees, but it is still the best marketplace for selling your stuff.
The only real alternative is http://www.craigslist.org but there are issues with them too.

i agree eBay fee's are really high
but surely if your just starting something at 99p and using a free picture then your listing will cost 15p or if you are that bothered wait til a half price listing day or something?!

Ebay seems to be becmoing more of a retail site nowadays. The shops that are on there are often large companies utilising this new market to sell their things and make sure people can't buy things and sell them on.
I think maybe they should look at how they run things and reduce the costs for those selling second hand items. |

i joined tazbar a while ago and they was not that many users, maybe it is worth another look.
yes i am sick of ebay the more i sell at a greater price the more they take, then ebay own pay pal and if i get paid by pay pal i am charged again.
qxl is another site more users then tazbar search it in yahoo and take a look.

Ebay is making money more than once on each sale made.
You are charged for the listing in the first pace, then a percentage when the item sells. If the buyer pays with paypal then ebay make money again because guess what? Paypal is an ebay company! |
