I think not. They make about $50 an hour for their work, but computers are getting so cheap...you can buy one for around $400...if you spent two hours fixing someones 4 year old computer, it would cost them $100. They would rather go buy a new one that is 4 times faster than pay you $100. |

no. people purchase a pentium 1 with windows 95, keep it for 20 years then break it..when they give it to you they expect to get it back working like a modern computer. theyre never satisfied |

sucks... really bad.
prices of computers drop so fast that it doesn't take very long before it is not worth it financially for a person to repair their computer... therefore they go out and buy a new one.
I started out as an electronics technician, and really enjoy doing that stuff, but there's not much money in it.
There are a few good niches here and there, but overall, I wouldn't do it personally. Too much trouble and too many things you can't control.
Microsoft comes out with a screwed up patch that messes your client's computer up, and the client comes screaming his head off at you because you broke his computer.
Just too much headache. |

Every 6 months it seems like there are newer and better computers coming onto the market
furthermore, you have to compete with the geeksquad and firedog for customers.
Advertise your service as a hobby and pick up a few customers from the newspaper and word of mouth but do something else for full time employement |

meh, ive thought about it, but who knows how long computers will be human repairable like they are. My guess is everything will be so small like the iphone eventually where we can no longer repair them ourselves without custom machinery. |

No, there is too much free advice on the Internet. You will starve to death doing that. If you are good with computers, go to school and become an Auto Repair Tech. Repair the computers that run and test todays cars and trucks. You can specialize in that field and make a ton of money if you are good. Good Luck. |

because i also involed in this frm last one year
we have group in computer reparing all r engg.
in any reparing business we reqired a coustmer support, but in this business we do not get any support frm them at all ,work come in urgent or emergency, they pay less amount want latest replacable spares, configiration increses day by day |

replacement parts also does computer repair.
