Is home based typing/data entry jobs legit?
What you do is post employment ads on career sites & when someone responds to the ad and requests training material, you charge $10.00 or whatever fee you wish. I just want to make sure there is nothing illegal about it.

They are all scams. Very dishonest. I am not sure about legal.
They are dishonest, because they post an ad for a job, but that is an outright lie. They are really selling training materials.
This is an unethical business practice, as they are promising something that they cannot deliver.

If the job you are offering is real and it is a true offer, it is legit... I would not suggest anyone PAY to get a job - usually those are scams and real employers need people AND pay people - they don't charge you to give you a job!!!

If you are suggesting that you are planning to offer these jobs - you better have something real to offer... if you just post the job and wait for the $$$ to roll in and that is all you are doing - you can be arrested for MAIL FRAUD which is a penalty as bad as ROBBING a BANK!!

Huh? That doesn't sound like a data entry job. That sounds like employment assistance work ... but if you're calling it data entry, this might skirt the lines of scamming people. Would you be just copying the ads they'd already have seen in looking at your ad, for example? Or just copies of generic job search information? I doubt you'd get much income since most people would tend (rightfully) to be suspicious of random people claiming to have "amazing job information, send me money first though!!" Or would you actually be doing research for each person individually? That would be a worthwhile service if done well.
