It is never legal to take anything from anyone else and pass it off as yours.......it's just plain stealing..........wouldnt we all love to do that.lol. |

In order to do that, you would have to have the rights to the product. For instance, when you go to Wal Mart and find Wal Mart brand products, those are just name brands re-packaged at a lower cost. the difference between what you want to do and what they do is they have the rights to some of those products from various companies. For you, it would be illegal. |

Using another companies logo is illegal unless you have their backed support and consent, if a product is patented then it is also illegal but gummi worms are gummi worms. Just don't get caught because there are loop holes that if sued can be turned around against you. |

It is illegal to do it in that way.
Some companies will have 1 product (ie frozen hamburgers) and will sell it to several places with different names. You can also contact this kind of company, sign a contract and they will package it with your name (of course, for a price :-) |

No, it's illegal. The "not for resale" or "not for individual sale" packaging refers to the fact that you're not susposed to break apart the package and sell the individual units seperately (they aren't barcoded correctly).
If you place your own brand name on an item and try to pass it off for something else, you have committed a crime. |

You can't. It's illegal. The products you buy in the store are under a copyright law. If you wanted to re sell them say at your snack shop,at what ever cost you wish, you can BUT you have to leave the original package alone. If you wanted to make your own gummi worms say, and sell those at your mark up price you could. |

No, because Gummi Worms are a copyrighted company. That's pretty much plagerism. If you were to make the candy and have it so that it is still the exact same thing as gummi worms, you could then put your own logo and name on it. This is why you can see multiple boxes of the same cereal with different names and brands. |

All above are correct, but...
You can take the gummi worms, add them together with several other lollie products and sell them as a 'mixed lollie bag' |

If you're not selling them as part of a business or something I would think it would be ok because no one would know. Just as long as you're keeping it private like at school or work or something. But you're still making money off someone else's product and you can get in trouble for breaking copyright laws. |

You could just buy them in bulk for cheap, not mess with the lable, and sell them just as you bought them. That's what people do with peanuts and stuff at baseball games. |

hell na i do that **** all the time its a nice loophole to get into, but you have to do it in front of a local PD because its legal and you want to show off your rights |

No. That is illegal.
The money you pay for your gummy worms doesn't go to the gummy worm makers, not all of it. Part of it goes to WalMart. You have to ask the gummy worm makers if they will allow you to sell their product as yours, but it's pointles because they will say no. They made, they sold it and you buy it to eat or give out on Halloween or put in your kid's goody bags. Not to sell.
Lesson? Make your own gummy worms if you want to succeed in the gummy worm sales market. |
