I have tried to sell Avon before, but it is not for me. I am a quadriplegic, and I have a voice-activated computer which is very helpful in selling anything online or doing any kind of spreadsheets, invoices or any other type of paperwork. I am looking for something else a little more different than Avon. I do have family that will help me sale outside of the home. It has to be a business that does not have to cost a lot to start up. |

Allison. Your enthusiasm is great. I commend you in your desire. I am happy to share my own personal experience. I enjoy building business around my own personal interests. Joining a company that offers you a position to be a rep and sell their product can be a great way to create extra income. Many have little start up costs too. I would recommend that you study the commissions prior to joining. This way you will know how your efforts will be best compensated. If you have an interest in creating your own business that is centered around your personal interests, I would be happy to share some ideas. Building a business takes a little time to grow yet, it is most rewarding in my opinion. I use a web host that has assisted me in building my own business around health and wellness. The web host that I used is SiteSell found at http://www.tobuildyour.com They have a great video tour that explains a process of building your own unique business and attracting people through your personal touch. I have an example here in my profile page. I would more than happy to elaborate on my experience through building business.

Unstoppable Dreams and Val have great businesses that they are involved in. Here's another option for you to take a look at.
I have found the best type of business to start up is a home based business. You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business has, and you also have less over head to pay for each month. Most everything in your house, is part of your business, which becomes tax write offs. Your telephone, computer, heating, electricity, car etc. Less over head, less bills to pay out then a traditional business which means MORE profit. Home based businesses are also cheaper to start up then a traditional store front. They're also easier to maintain.
With the business experiences that I have had, the best type of home based business to have, I feel is collaborating with another business. In doing this, it lessens the stress factor that a traditional business has, yet you have the same income opportunity, no overhead, no buying and re-selling, no bills to pay. So everything you make, is basically a profit! That's what my husband and I did over six years ago, and it well supports our family of six (we have four children "five if you want to count my husband". It's pretty simple to do.
We collaborated with the largest direct selling Telecommunications service provider in the world. A 15 year old company that Donald Trump has endorsed. They'e been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company. They market in Local and Long Distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, digital phones, VOIP, Satellite TV as well as all the major cellular phone providers such as Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltell, Nextell etc. We save people money on services that they already have and can introduce them to services that they don't have. Everytime these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month. It's really easy to do and we do it from home. So this is one type of home based business available.

Why did you not like selling avon? It would be easier to suggest something if I knew what you didn't like. I've been earning online for 9 months now and am able to do it for a full time income. I even have kept a blog for the past 8 months about it. There are many great resources out there to help you learn where to earn.
Look for proof of payment and google the site. Find out what the reputation is. Spend time researching to save a lot of time in the future.
In regards to it not costing much to start up, you should not have to pay anything. The business I'm in did not cost me anything... it cost the company a little bit, but not me.

More and more people are looking to join the on-line work from home businesses where they can enjoy tax benefits, flexible hours and the freedom of being their own boss while earning a residual income.
Not only is it a lifestyle and source of financial freedom, people are enjoying the added benefit of being able to be around their family more than if they were out "at" a job, something that is once again becoming important to society even though we all need that second income while raising our children.
If that's something that you're looking into, then start figuring out what the current market trend is, find something in that trend that excites you....something you'd really enjoy doing and start researching companies from there.
Of course, you want to beware of that "get rich quick" and "pay us this amount of money and we'll show you how" sort of thing. Run Forest run! You know that's gotta be a bad deal.
Of the companies that appear to be legitimite, check out what they're offering you and if that fits what you want, and if it does, then look even harder - inside and out - at that company. Find out what kind of training and ongoing support they'll offer you as well as that can be such a crucial point to your success.
Once you're satisfied that everything is above board, then go for it! The trend is swinging very quickly to on-line home based businesses and it can be very lucrative |
