Good question, qtpie. Having tried many of the work from home programs out there, my first advice is to be VERY cautious about any systems or "jobs" that have you pay a fee to start working. Usually these folks get their money from the people who they are "employing".
Secondly, you want to make sure that these programs aren't asking for too much information, specifically bank account info. before it is even possible to have earned any pay.
I would look around a lot and be skeptical. The two programs I have listed in resources are the only ones I have found that actually pay as promised and meet the terms of their agreements without trying to take me for a ride.

I think that depends on what you want to do. I have an at home business in direct sales with lia sophia jewelry - which is a premier jewelry home party plan and yes I make very good money at it. Work my own schedule, earn a great income, earn trips, rewards, incentives, etc. It is basically my own business and my home is my office. And of course as with any business, you get out of it what you put into it. Do I "work" - yes. Is it fun? Absolutely! Do I make money? Yes!! Do I have set hours? NO! Hey qtpie,
There are plenty of legitimate online businesses that do work. However DO NOT believe the hype that you can get rich quick its just not true. Granted, you can earn a very substantial income but its not something that comes over night, it takes alot of work.
With work does come rewards. The main award with an online Multi-Level business is that you can gradually pull away from the business and still earn that monthly income.
I also find that with a good MLM company you can automate alot of your tasks, so you spend less and less time doing your daily promotional activities.
