Sure. You can start any business without a formal education. It may not be a glamorous business but I know a guy that started mowing laws at 17 when he quit school and now owns a multi million dollar business that employees over 600 people doing the exact same thing only on a larger scale. he no longer pushes a mower he pushes a pencil and only had a 10th grade education.
I have met a lot of college educated people in my life that didn't have sense enough to pour urine out of a boot with directions on the bottom of it.
My point being an education does not make you wealthy. hard work and dedication combined with motivation do.
Good Luck, you can do anything if you apply yourself!! |

you can own a business without going to school. their are certain fields though that require licenses and to get those licenses you may have to show you took certain required schooling. I am not aware of any wrestling license however you do want to check with your local city official as to any type of business license you need. this field may require some type of gym or health fitness type license. as for the business itself, there are lots of ways to proceed but in any type of business you need to have people talking good about you to be successful. start small. get big. unless you find an angel ( and you can look online for financial angels) you want to grow your business. |

I think you could own a business without going to school, but school sure would help. Your Business would do better with some school knowledge. |

Bill Gates (top billionaire thru Microseft) quit school at an early age.
He wasn't a wrestler, but he knew something about software, That must include sheets, blankets, pillow cases. You can do it if you try. |

Oh I see.
But my friend, you will be going to school.
You will learn more in the first three years of starting up your own business, than most people learn during their entire formal education.
Rule number 1: TRUST YOUR INTUITION, "your gut"
Good Luck

Yes, you can own a business without going to school. To have a successful business you need to know a lot about the product you are advertising. There are several home business's on the market today such as Avon and you do not need a high school or college education to sell it. For you I have heard of people having Judo classes in an instructors garage. The pupils had uniforms, gloves, padding, mats etc. |

Depends on your knowledge of the Business end of wrestling and do you have or can you get the money required to start. School isn't necessary but contacts and how to do it are. |

There is no reason why you have to go to school to own your own business. Whether you want to own a wrestling business or a coffee shop you will have to learn the business.
Here are two ways to learn the business that you are interested in starting.
1) Get a job or volunteer in a business like the one that you want to start. Make notes and create your own business manual by what you observe anhd what you learn. Cover every aspect of the business.
2) Another wonderful way to learn a business is to find someone who already operates a business like the one you want to start who is located in a distant area where you would not be competing. Then visit that person and offer to pay that person substantial hourly fees for coaching you. You will save hundreds and hundreds of dollars by avoiding the delays and the mistakes that were made when that person started the business. |

Absolutely! But just because you didn't go to school that doesn't mean you won't have a lot of learning to do. You should read up as much as you can on management, financial/accounting issues and of course specifics related to the industry that you want to start a business in. These things don't have to be done immediately upon starting your business although it can help, but if you've already started the business it is a great way to learn what you need to know in order to grow the business.
Another thing you can do is take jobs that will give you skills you may be weak in. Never take a job for the money, take it for what it can teach you. Like a sales job might teach you to sell better (and every entrepreneur needs to know how to sell, such as selling his ideas to investors, motivating employees, or selling product or service to customers). Likewise other types of jobs will benefit you like teaching a course at a community center can help you with your presentation and public speaking skills.
The other thing to remember is that a great CEO understands what he's good at and hires great people to do the other things. You want a good team around you that you can trust including a good attorney, accountant, sales, marketing and depending on the business you may need other professionals and team members as well. Just remember that you never want to be the smartest person in the room with your team. If you hire people who are smarter than you are, you'll always be better off than the insecure managers who are intimidated by smarter people so they hire mediocre people. Don't make that mistake.
I'm guessing you're going to start out small and build it up from there. You're taking a great first step in starting your own business. 99.99% of people who work for someone else will NEVER get rich that way. Starting a business, whether it works or not, will give you valuable skills and insights that most employees will never have. Good luck! |
