Scam. If it's written by a person who uses really awkward English to write the ad or respond to your email, that should be a red flag! If they want you to do something out of the ordinary with the promise of $$$, red flag.
The Postal Money scam usually goes like this: I'll send you a Postal Money order for more than your ad price, auction, etc. You just refund the difference when you send the product... By the time the bank tells you the MO is bad, you are out the $$ and your item....

It's definitely a scam. I received a similar response last year, when trying to sell something on craigslist.
The person wanted to pay for their item through their UPS account. I immediately became suspicious and ceased all contact with that phony. |

Anyone that asks you for that kind of personal info on the Internet is up to something. Do NOT give it to them. ?This could be the start of identity theft. |

There is no such thing as a USPS account. This guy is a scam artist.
However, there are people who need to pay by money order - no cc and no bank account. So being able to take money orders (or even personal checks) is a legitimate way to make sales. You do need to make sure you can protect yourself, however.
Most merchants have a requirement of holding shipping for 10-14 days in the case of personal checks and money orders to make sure they cash. So if you get a persopn who seems legit wants to pay by m.m., give them your mail information (name and address only, no phone number). When you get it, look at it to see if it looks legitimate. If it is a USPS m.o., just go to a post office and cash it there. If it is another kind deposit it. But in any case, wait a full 14 BUSINESS DAYS, before you ship the item.
Just tell them that is the established policy for taking payment via m.o.

email is a big biz online. that's why you see a lot of pre-launch site that needs email before giving more information. you won't believe if i say that there are people willing to buy a list of email. so be careful. |

Are you selling something? Sounds like he is accepting the price that you want for the item and is willing to pay for shipping directly. I would get his information and give him a contactable number after he pays totally for the item. |

you can also send a certified letter for him to sign for it and a money order is traceable if he scammed you trace the money order down and prosecute |
