I am not a scammer. I am a lay minister of my church. I would be dismissed outright and prosecuted by my church if I scam people. Besides, I have more than enough
savings and investments to live comfortably. My children are all top business executives or businessmen.
They would be totally ashamed of me if ever I did this to people. |

I cannot see how a friendly warning to check something carefully and beware of scams could be seen as offensive. But the response is interesting. I find the righteous are more easily offended than most. Perhaps it's defensive projection? |

Its because you had a link to a site that "recruits". I had gotten a violation notice for a similar situation. I think that they need to focus on the ones that flat out try to recruit people instead of giving good sound advice along with information the questioner was looking for. The person that flagged you is probably one of the major violators of the solicitation guideline to begin with. Sorry that it happened to you too. |

Maybe the person who posed the question was in a way trying to push that concept (working from home - big money etc...) on to other R&S users and reported you because your advise is so sensible and makes a lot of sense. More people need to be aware of how to avoid being scammed and dodgy dealings.... |

What you gave is sound advice and what you got is not fair. There is nothing wrong with your links or your advice.
When people post questions, it is supposed to be for a real answer - hence the name of the site.
When scammers and spammers post questions, it is for the explicit intent of creating problems for others.
I think I would avoid answering that person's future questions to avoid this situation. Maybe the asker really is a scammer and looking at ways to scam someone - just a thought.
I have no idea who posted the original question, so my response is generic as to possibilities of why anyone would be upset with your response. They would have to be really confused to do such a thing.
