I live up north of canada in a small town of approx 13,000 with the next major city being 2 hours. The big jobs around here are not office jobs, but the oilpatch workers. The rich people around here work in the oilpatch, the $$ is very ,very good, people travel from all over british columbia and alberta to work here. Anyways, im 24 and already worked the oilpatch and dont really want to again but i would like to be a part of it somehow. The people that work in the patch need better lunches than what they eat, its usally a gross mushy sandwhich they bought for 6 bucks at the store. So i want to start making better sandwhichs for them, and they can pay me for it. They will have a choice of what they want and i will make it for them, and i will even drop it off for them. The patch is full of men who have no time to make lunches and they are sick of buying them out of the store, so i will do it, and i might even bake stuff, like cookies. what do you think??? |

Good idea. See if you can get a permanent booth or mini truck with electrical hookup. Make stuff fresh right in the booth where you have a fridge, toaster oven, hot plate for home made soup, chili etc. This way you can store vegetables, etc overnight. If your idea picks up with the guys, you might want to look around for an assistant!
P.S. Nothing beats a good FRESH coffee either! |

A wonderful idea. We have those here where I live in NH. A truck that drives out to jobs site everyday for lunch and snacks. They had freshly made sandwich, fruit salads, baked goods, plus all the snacks (Chips soda....) you could even talk to wholesalers about buying there snacks to sell so you get them at cost..
I think it's a great idea and you'll probably go very far in your business. Good luck, your on the right track |

sandwiches, wraps, subs, bagels, salads-don't forget breakfast-egg sandwiches with cheese, bacon, ham,etc.
