Legit work at/from home jobs?

In about 4 months I will be giving birth to twins. I am interested in working from home and have a ton of receptionist experience. I have seen schools that offer medical transcription courses so you can work from home and would like to know if these are legit? Also, does anyone know of a website that offers legit work at home companies?

Your not going to find a home job that will bring you a sufficient amount of income. Most will only pay you minimum wage. Not enough income for you to make a living out of for your family unless you have some sort of inheritance.

If you really want to work from home, I suggest you start your own home based business.
There are so many different home based business to start up. Things from Child Daycare Centers, scrapbooking, Telecommunications, , Candle Making, Travel agents, Tax Preperations, Health etc etc etc. You can turn just about any type of business into a business that you run out of your home. Most home based business cost under $500 to start. So, if I were you, I'd start a home based business. Something that you can have your children with you.

When starting a business, their is no money at first. You have to build it up. No matter what business you get involved in. The more effort you put into it and how hard your willing to work it, will depend on when you start making a sufficient amount of income. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Some businesses are hard manual labor, while others are mainly phone and computer work.

In home based businesses, depending on which one you get involved in, it usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks to start making an income. 4 to 6 weeks to increase that to an average and 3 to 6 months to be self sufficient for the family. If you put the time and effort into it. Which is about the time frame you have before you need to take a break and heal and bond with the babies. Most people start their business on the side if they don't have a cushion to live on while they build their business. This will allow you to build your business much quicker. But most people have full time jobs and run their business on the side. When their business reaches the income level they desire, they put their normal jobs down and continue to build their business with or without help. That part depends on you. It was more difficult for me in some ways, but yet it made it easier. When I started I was on bed rest in my fourth month of pregnancy. I was only allowed to get up every hour to use the restroom and lay back down immidiatly in different funky positions as I built my business. LOL I have to laugh if people were to look in on what I looked like and how I worked it. Too funny! but it's the best choice I made for my family.

Not knowing what you like to do, I'm not sure who to refer you over to. How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services? I think just about everyone has one or more of these services. You save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer them services that they don't have, but would like to. Every single month these people pay these bills that they are going to every month, you make a percentage. You get paid every single month for these services over and over again. This is a very profitable business to get involved in.

I work in a medical clinic, and we have a lot of outsourced medical transcription. There are a lot of big companies that uses at home transcriptionists, which is what we are having to use, it is difficult for us to find one locally. So if you did it locally I bet you would get snatched right up. If you had the courses this would definitely put you ahead in the hiring process. I don't know how difficult it is to get hired by one of the big companies. I do know it is minimal money to get started and that is always a positive.

There are those that you will come across that will tell you that “It’s all rubbish! You can’t make money online, it’s all a big scam…”

What they are actually doing is venting their own bitterness at not being able to do it themselves. So don’t listen to them!

On The other hand there will be those that say, “Yeah, I made thousands of dollars in my first month. All you have to do is sign up and you make millions…” What they are doing is trying to get you to hand over your money by using false crappy promises. Stay even further away from them!!

There are however means to make serious income online but it requires work. You must treat your online business as it is, A BUSINESS. How many self made millionaires do you see who didn’t work to get to where they are?…That’s right NONE! You must put in a consistent effort, and if you do you will see success come your way.

The biggest difference with online marketing is that you don’t need to spend years in business school in order to be successful. Just a solid system with a strong foundation is all you need. And I happen to have one :-) A free one in fact. Just go to the site (given below) and you will have found the very thing you need to make a life changing income online.

But please remember. This is not a get rich quick thing, so if that’s what you’re trying to get then please wake up. I don’t want to discourage you but you must understand that in order to truly be successful you just need to put in the effort.

Since you have customer service skills, I would look into the virtual call center jobs. You can find a list of legitimate companies at http://workathomedesk.com/work-at-home-directory.htm - this a free site that also has lists of companies that hire for all kinds of jobs for home workers. For a virtual call center job all you basically need is high speed internet, a headset, and a quiet area to work.

Being a stay at home mom myself, I have also found that http://www.wahm.com is helpful also. Visit the telecommuting mom's message board to network with other home workers and get advice and information about companies.

There are many legit companies out there who are looking for home agents and all have their own requirments. I am a stay at home mom and I have joined an at home online business that is free and open to people worldwide. It is also registered with the Better Business Bureau. Most are scams or give small pay off for big work. Most people use this forum to promote these scams because they get paid for getting new people to sign up. Often there is more money in referring people than in the actual work of the job.

You are better off starting your own online business. The only people who make any significant money online are the people who actually start all these schemes and scams.

Most important thing to remember: Its more about the marketing than the Product. You can sell a bag of rocks if you know how to market it correctly. Most of these online "opportunities" are well marketed but what you get for your time or money is of low value.

Because AGAIN.. the only people who make money are the ones who START these things. So start your own business.. make a website.
