Lots of people use their computer to work from home, i want to do this too, but where to start?

not looking for the usual scams. got any ideas?

Majority of the work from home jobs only pay you minimum wage. Not enough income to support yourself, or a family. If your an accountant or a tax person or something in that lines, you can make more. But you'll have to really hustle.
If you really want to work from home and make a sufficient amount of income, I suggest you start your own home based business.
My husband and I got started in our home based business over six years ago in the telecommunications industry. It supports our family and children. We offer services like Local and long distance telephone services, Internet, VOIP, digital, video phones (you can see the person you are talking to live) Satallite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers like Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Nextell, Alltell etc we work with as well.
How many people do you know that has one or more of any of these types of services? How would you like to be able to save people money on services that they're already using, or be able to offer services that they ask about, and every single month they pay their bills, you make a percentage month after month? The amount of money that's involved in this industry is just incredible. That is why non-profit organizations are getting involved because it's a major funding source for them as well.

What do you want or need to make?
How much time every day can you invest into this Home Based Business?
How much money do you have set aside for marketing?

Those are the most pertinent questions to answer first.

It depends what you want, and what you like. There are so many real opportunities out there, it's best to find something that fits with what you like.

You could do affiliate marketing, network marketing, sell your own crafts, create your own products.

See what I mean? So many options. It's best to try to figure out something that's going to be a good match for your likes and skills from the very beginning so you can stick to one thing.

Sticking with one thing is the key to making it online. If you jump from thing to thing you will never make the money you desire. :)

I too have said those words.During my first 2 years as a struggling home
business entrepreneur dreaming of making money and leading a free lifestyle,
I made many mistakes.
Some of those mistakes cost me money...
Others caused me heartache...

would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.
