Stay away from multi level pyramid schemes. Focus on a legitimate business in which you provide a product or service. Selling on ebay is great if you have access to lots of local antiques or items people around the world may find valuable. I have a friend who does that.
You can also try the Big Fish Game "My Game Space" program.

A really easy way to make money online is to join GPT sites. GPT sites pay you to take surveys and do free trials. I remember when I first starting doing GPT's, I made about $70 within the first hour. (and then I was hooked =P) Here are 2 of my favorites:
