My fiance works two jobs while I am a stay at home mom. This was his idea cause he doesn't want our daughter in daycare. I know he's exhausted and I wish I could do something to bring in good money so he only has to work one job. Any suggestions to make money at home. I don't want something that's gonna take up so much time that I can't spend time with my daughter. I also want it to be something that's legit and not one of those work from home scams. |

The day care idea is great. My wife used to do the same. It was a great way to make an extra income and provided playmates for my kids. It also out weighed the cost of us paying day care ourselves. If you have the time to invest in building a small business that you can do out of your home, you can also build a website around your interests and get paid from that as an alternative to working outside of the home. I found a great web host to help me build my business online. They provided me with step by step assistance through building, designing and maintaining my website at a reasonable and affordable cost of less than $1 per day. They pride themselves in assisting anyone build a top notch website around their personal interests. You can get an example of my project and read more about the web host that I chose through my Yahoo Answers Profile page. I hope this has helped to spark some Ideas. I wish you the best. If I was confronted with the choice I would work two jobs to keep my wife at home. I would make the choice to work two jobs many times over. It has been great for my kids to be raised by their mother and not daycare. My kids have excelled in school because of it too.

Now, don't get me wrong. They don't just give you some money because you are giving them more. You do have the opportunity to make money the normal way by selling or recruiting, and your level of involvement is up to you.

However, it's nice to know that after a certain time (20 months for the program that costs $55 per month and 10 months if you pay a little more), you will qualify for commissions even if you have not managed to qualify through your sales and recruiting by then. By qualify, I mean qualify to get commissions each and every month, not just once. And you do get some product, too, for the money.

And any way you decide to make money from home, is going to require hard work. Probably as many hours if not more as a regular job. |

Since you already have a kid at home, have you thought about opening up a small home daycare? Then you can be with your daughter all day. The only downside is it would be hard to go places and do things, you'd have to wait until after supper to go buy groceries, etc.
All you need is 5 -10 other kids, if it got much bigger it would be hard to do from home. I'm not sure what other daycares charge, but I bet you could make $100 per month, each kid. It's only $6,000 a year if you had 5 kids, but it's better than nothing. If you got 10 kids to look after that's $12,000 though, the equivalent of getting a minimum wage job.
Alternatively... are you any good at cutting hair? You could open up a little barber shop in your basement. It would be a bit harder to make your money... to make $6,000 a year if you charged $10 a haircut, you'd need 600 customers per year or 50 a month! |
