She's not way too young, I say "go 4 it." She may have to begin to do some volunteer event planning and do a superb job at that before doing some for profit. She can then use these individuals as her recomendations/references for future for profit jobs. She could consider putting herself on the websites like (I believe 1 is called Linked In) or something like that where you tell your profession & link to others of that profession & so on. It's great to see young people thinking in this direction because the last question on YA I saw was "I'm 14...is this 2 young 2 make out" in which I replied..."absolutely." Lots of successful people begin their careers early...best of luck 2 her! |

Argh...What's with you people??? It's awesome to have a young teen with such ambitions! A lot of artists started out young and become stars! So who knows, your sister may be the next biggest event planner in your community!
But legally, she is too young and can not start a business.
However, she should not let that stop her from her ambitions. If that's what she wants to do, then she should go for it.
Like the previous member mentioned, volunteering is great. And she should learn about owning a business, then about event planning.
Keep her cheers up! Way to go! |
