We are looking for a small business idea that we can run from home and make money running it. We have a huge pole barn that we could use as a home based business but can't use any signs to advertise the business on the property due to zoning regulations. We are also open to relocating almost anywhere in the USA to own and operate a home based business so the property would have to have an owners home on the property. We'd love a campground. We do have about $10,000.00 to play with. Any suggestions? Hubby is retired but still young enough to work and I only work part-time hours 4 days a week so I could help hubby with whatever the business may be. i would think you could do light tractor work or even hauling for others to clean up .
you can advertise on your vehicles if you have a license and . maybe cutting small loads of wood. i would need to know more about the area and could maybe think of more |

Well, $10k won't get you anything decent, but if you can get some government grants / business loans, you could start an exotic fiber mill.
Alpaca business is growing - and there is insufficient mills to process all of the fiber. You could start with something small while you work out the kinks, and then go from there.
Since you're in Michigan, check out places like Frankenmuth Mills (which is much larger) - and there are a few alpaca shows in the state - the biggest one is in Birch Run in September, but there's one in Davison, one by port huron and a few others. Could be a good side job - and you only have to accept fiber when you want to work! |
