Negative ebay feedback?
this really takes the pizz, i sold an item to a women on ebay, and she wouldn't give me her address to send the item to, so she eventually gives it to me on monday and i sent it out tuesday and she got it yesterday and she gives me negative feedback for taking a week to send it!!!! What the hell! can i get ebay to somehow reverse her negative feedback? i had 100% till that ********! lol

Get in touch with ebay and get them to sort it out.....that is ridiculous. Did you know that soon a SELLER won't be able to leave negative feedback for a bad transaction - one of ebays new rules to come into force next month.

once a time I had a good trade with a good ebayer. But I mistakely gave him a negative feedback, but saying very good seller..... I tried to contact ebay to help him remove my mistake feedback. But ebay emailed me and said, they can't help me, they only deal with real problems not stupid mistakes. That made me feel so bad for the seller and I still can remember this after so long.

pretty sure you can't..but u have an opportunity to respond to it. think carefully about ur response before you submit it. it's a bummer, i know. . . have u left her feedback yet?..i sense it will be a tit for tat thing..don't blame ya if u leave her a neg too. it was unreasonable of the woman to leave a neg for you..

OK, two things you need to do to remedy this:

You can respond to feedback wit a statement like:
"Buyer was slow in providing her address. Dispatched day after address was provided"

Next, put feedback in her profile like this:
"Buyer was slow in providing address and left misleading feedback on seller"
You will notice I am leaving it for you to choose as Negative or neutral

The other option is you can ask her to "Mutually withdraw" it, but you should read E-bays help pages if you want to go for that.

i too have had similar clowns...
unfortunately it won't make eBay money so they won't remove it. However there is a (or was) 3rd party company who you could pay loads of money to & the'd enquire taking it off.

Just forget about it. after all, its only feedback on eBay...

You can get the negative FB removed by eBay, if you can show that it is unfair, or is inappropriate.

It may be that you can point out the fact that you couldn't send the item, and that the delay was not your fault. eBay should take this into account and remove the Neg. FB.

The buyer should also be aware that leaving inappropriate FB is grounds for eBay to suspend an account, or even to close it completely.

Negative FB without reasonable grounds can be construed as "retaliatory" or bullying, and eBay don't like it!

It would not be advisable to leave a Neg. FB for the buyer, as this most certainly would be taken as retaliatory on your part.

You would do better to to leave no FB at all, and get in touch with eBay's customer care team.

If, like me, you have "Star Buyer" status, you can ring the number at the top right of your screen. You will then be able to speak to someone directly, who will be able to advise you further.

<<<<<<<<<<<<ADDITIONAL>>>>>>>>>>>>>

eBay have ammended the way feedback is handled: See recent bulletins under eBay "General Announcements".

You'll need select each month's name from the panel at the bottom left of your "My eBay" screen, and then look at that month's announcements, though you'll need to scroll down quite a way. You should start by looking at the announcements for December 5th, - "eBay featured on Watchdog" - which announces forthcoming changes as a result of "feedback abuse" and then look at the announcements for January, February and March.

If you're patient enough, and if it matters enough, you can see from futher bulletins, how these changes work. Don't let it slide, but do pursue the issue with eBay.

If you have a genuine case, eBay will do their best to remedy the problem.

eBay do not like anything that spoils the buyer/seller experience - it's not in THEIR best interest! They want you to keep using their services, and to do this, they need to keep YOU happy!

So before you begin;

Make some notes of what went wrong, dates of any communications, extracts of any communications that took place (remember, they can look at the original messages, both sent and received - so be truthful!) and don't be tempted to exagerate the issue.

You should have the item number handy, because they will want it, in order to follow up the history of the sale.

Call 080 8080 2105, and speak to a customer adviser.

Above all, don't let it get on top of you, keep your cool - it's you who has been wronged! Don't fly off the handle, but do keep to the mild mannered approach and press the issue.

I thought you could follow-up to bad feedback directly underneath it.

Miss Informed
I think all you can do is leave negative feedback for her, and add a comment to HER feedback telling the situation. That way, if anyone sees that negative feedback they may know your side of things. Notify Ebay and see if they can do anything.

Cat
Nope. She can leave whatever kind of feedback she wants. Ebay will remove it only if it violated feeback policies. (like including personal information, or profanity, etc.) Lying in feedback is not a reason for removal.

If the feedback itself is not in violation, eaby will only remove it if she agrees to it.

Other than the above,

You can respond to it in your own feedback.

You can leave "appropriate" feedback for her. However - after May 1st, you won't even have that last option. Sellers will be no longer allowed to leave any kind of feedback other than positive. Great, huh?
