I'm currently bidding on an iPhone on Ebay and it looked like a really good deal (for only 10 dollars) it completely worked and everything, brand new, but when I looked at the shipping it said it was 500 dollars. Can you charge that much??? Maybe it's just me, but I think that it wouldn't cost that much to ship an iPhone. So what can I do? |

They do it all the time. i bought a ps2 game for a .01 and paid $5 shipping.
I would report such a grossly overpriced shipping quote to ebay. They would review it and most likely take it down.
Contact ebay or just don't bid. |

Don't bid unless you're asking this because you want to try this out yourself.
We have enough schemers fishing out $10 to $20 dollars extra from shipping fees because they say they live 100's of miles from the post office. Do this too often will get their account terminated forever.
Buyers who accidently purchase from the cheats are often smart enough to detect this and will often report in or not pay the seller and yet win the case.

People can charge whatever they want for shipping and handling. That is the only way some products make money for the seller. Be careful with Ebay iphones. Many of them are poorly made chinese copies. |

Doing that is considered fee circumvention & will get the seller suspended or terminated from ebay. BTW.... if you got a bad phone the buyer can refund the sell $ & not the s/h....... still willing to buy it? |
