I have some great items to sell, but I am sick of the high fees for selling on Ebay. I also use Pay Pal because I have never had any problem with getting my money from buyers, is there a better SAFE way to collect? My items are high end and I don't feel safe with Craig's List,(I don't want people coming to my home) Any one know of a better way to sell my things? On-Line auction sites are best for me,if you do know others please explain why you like it. Thank you.

Ebay charges more than other cheap sites because they spend money to protect their clients. Save your money on other things but not on safety in transacting your business. You might save $100 on fees but could lose $1000 on fraud. |

Yahoo auctions (other than US) and Amazon are really the only two trusted options for selling other than eBay. Also, if I were you, I would stick with PayPal, its about the safest way to collect from buyers out there today. Personally I use eBay, its the best site, and I have never had any issues. |

UBid.com is a business site like Ebay you may want to try but you will be required to show proof of a business license.
Ebay Half.com charges fees just like Ebay.
Amazon is great site no fee's charged until you sell, but you have to rely on people wanting your item as marketing support is really not available.

Craigslist is fine just have someone else with you when the person comes to pick up their items and make sure they bring exact change.
I have sold dresses mailed them to the customer too just ask them to pay the postage.
I like craigslist because its' local and just as safe as a garage sale or ad you placed in the newspaper and you get all the money. No final value fees, no money taken out when you get paid with Paypal.

there is a website call ibootsale and you can sell loads of things at once for one fee (like what it costs to do a stall at any carboot) 5 or 6 punds i think, but you can list as many items as possible and you even have to opportunity to haggle, so the people can offer you less and you could say yes or no, quite a good site, good luck! |

My parents use it and it is great.You can bid on NEW items or you can automatically buy them.There is no spam and it gives a complete description of the item you are about to purchase.I like Amazon because you can read other people's reviews on the item and the person trying to sell items to you. |
