You have spelling and Grammatical errors on the first page, so I would go through and edit. I see that you had the ABC logo on your site, good for you, any Bride who knows what that is will definetly feel confident about you.
Your backround image of the Hearts is tacky. Do not get me wrong. Pink is my Favorite color. And I love hearts. But all of the couples who look at your page might be put off. I would suggest if you want to stick with the "pink" look, do a classy combo like pink and black, and get rid of the hearts. Stripes are nice and classy as well, and have a nuetral enough feel that they are comfortable to a wide range of tastes.
You did clearly put effort into your site, I enjoyed reading it. I have a couple more suggestions--being engaged myself. Throughout your site, you mention "the Bride" Perhaps in some spots you should put "the couple" or the bride and groom. I state this because in too many weddings, the focus is put on the Bride, and her desires. Not good. Not good at all, and the couple should not have a wedding like that, much less be starting their marriage that way. Encourage couples to visualize their desires together, and have as many of the decisions made be joint as is possible. Mention this on your site, and I promise it will be refreshing. It is his Wedding too!!! You can also mention when talking about the stresses of the wedding and the planning that the couple will get enjoyment out of being "Guests" at their own wedding--really being able to relax and enjoy their celebration.

The very first thing you should mention is the exact services you offer. Make it so you can't look at the page for a second without understanding this. I'm not sure what a event designer is. If you are wedding planner, just say so.
Get your contact info above the fold.
You could get a little better quality on the jpegs.
Name the jpegs something relevant to your services. This will help you show up on search engines.
Find one more color that works with pink and use it for navigation, etc. |

The other answers are very superficial. They did not go past the colour.
I am a successful consultant with a MBA, double major, Finance and Marketing combined with a BA, major in Psychology, minor in English. I would love to help but would have to charge you to really do a classy job because I earn a living from what I know. I will point out a couple of things, though.
You are trying too hard. You are breaking some of the golden rules of marketing. You have at least one spelling error. You have at least one or more faults in the design. The design is incomplete and why push pink? In my opinion you need a complete change but only with the correct psychology and try and find a first class marketer with extensive experience and a degree in psychology. Very rare. But it is the best way to bring in the high class clientel i think you are looking for.
You obviously have a feeling that something is not right ... so listen to the spirit of the Lord, your Angels, yourself or whatever you want to call it. You are right. You could proceed, if you don't care about doing good business. But know, if you do, you will get clients who don't care about doing good business, too! Some people succeed in spite of themselves !!

It's a very well designed page. I noticed you've yet to get any testimonials... are you just starting out? I'm sure your business is great, and soon enough you'll have lots to put up on that testimonials page. If I was getting married again, I'd deffinately look into your business. |

well I'm assuming because this is a bussiness you want my real opinion. There would be nothing wrong with it if it were a personal web page but it needs to more clean and crisp and look more proffessional. i would suggest a different background something more ellegant and sofisticated most of the pictures are great but some need to be more clear, i would lean more towards the black and white photo in the contact us page very simple and elegant also make sure things are not over laping there are quite a few spots that overlap which looks unproffesional. I'm not trying to be mean just giving my opinion so i hope you dont take it the wrong way everything that you wrote looks great and it looks like your headed in the right direction so good luck. It's easy to navigate, but you may want to consider changing the background colors on each individual page. I think the pink is okay for the first page, but a different color on each page may make it a little more exciting and interesting. I hope this helps! |
