A sales representative will usually get commission. Consider how much experience you currently have. Consider the product that you will be selling. Ask yourself if you would buy it. Many people is sales do really well. Its all about how bad you really want it. |

So you have experience in sales? Do you have experience with this company's products and services?
If so, ask for more. If not, accept the minimum wage, but make sure you have it in writing that you get a raise after 30 days.
The minimum wage in California just went up to $8.00 per hour. Where are you? |

minimum $10 + a generous commission schedule. $5 is an insult. there should be competition to get you. Tell 'em to go hire a new immigrant who can't speak English or an idiot who can for $5 and watch their sales go to hell! seriously. they are being cheap with you. In and out burger pays $10-12 in Cali with benies. so the sign says when i am gulping a down a double double. |

Do an online search for average income in sales in your area and go from there. Also, if this is a Fortune 500 company or just a local company entry level salary will vary. Also, if you will be paid a flat salary plus commission your salary may be less but your income potential will be determined by you. |

What are you selling? Are you paid commission based on volume? |

go to snagajob.com go to advance search but you have to register first. I best if you register first then different employers can find out what you are good at in being a sales representative. And then rest you might know how to do, its only where you live how many miles is it away from you, how many experiences, things such as that |

It depends on whether the job is comission based sales or not.
If it is comission based, it is very unlikely that they will allow your base pay to be higher than 5.15.
But if it not a comission sales job, I'd request 6.50 - 7.00 an hour.
You can always negotiate somewhere in between during the hiring process.
Good Luck! |

Some sales reps work for commission only, others wage + commission.
You need to ask for whatever will maintain your current standard of living, and only you can determine what that is. If you just graduated from high school, minimum wage is what you're likely to get. If you've already got your household established, you'll likely need at least double that amount.
Have no fear. If min wage is what you get, Congress is about to give you a wage.
(The real money is in the commission. Ask about that. See if you can make your hourly wage irrelavent.) |
