I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are appicable to us,canada, europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link.

http://www.working-from-home-jobs.com/

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and-->I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks

Stuffing envelopes?, This is the most popular scam on the internet today. I have already wasted $250 in paying to some online scams promised me to provide a stuffing envelope job. Don't think money can be made with such easy work.

Don't get scammed my friend. This type of a question normally brings spammers interested. There are only a few opportunities in he web to make money. If you are seriously looking to make money online, then you should have to visit http://startearnnow.99k.org . This is the site which helped me to make my first money in the internet.

I have recently been searching the internet for months for job opportunities and have come across many different types. I was told once that "legit jobs won't ask for money" but that is not necessarily true. If you don't have the education to do the job, then you won't make any money. It's kind of like college. There is no guarantee after we finish our degree that we will get a job in that area...& we all know that here in the states, college is not free! What you are doing is paying for an education to be able to do the job that will MAKE YOU MONEY. I am not saying to go spend money wildly on work at home opportunities because many of them are scams...you have to do your research before you buy...but I am just saying to keep an open mind. Also, please don't ever fall for the envelope stuffing scams because I do not believe any of them are legit. With so much technology these days, no company is going to pay you $3.00 for each envelope when they have machines that will do it for only a few cents each! Now, with that being said, there are MANY opportunities to make money from home.
Affiliate marketing is my personal favorite because the income is unlimited. You don't need a degree or anything, you just need to learn the basics. Many legit programs can be found here http://www.workahonline.com/2168.html & they have consistently good reviews. You can also find information for free but the paid programs will def shorten the learning curve. It depends on you. Holly Mann also has a good program that can be found here http://www.how2-makemoneyonline.com/new/?thankyou=2391 and the cost is competitive.

There is a free promotional program that you can sign up for through this link...http://www.ezinfocenter.com/10087909/FREE with NO cost.

Also you can do data entry at home...check out http://www.consumer-rated.com/Work_From_Home_Data_Entry.html

Have you ever considered becoming a notary? U only have to take a short class and pass an exam and you are on your way to notarizing legal documents.

You can also blog for profit if you like writing, and if you like photography then shutterstock.com is a good place to upload your photos and get paid everytime someone downloads them.

also google "online virtual jury" and take a look at the sites that pay you to review local, actual cases in your area and answer easy questions for good pay. (ejury.com, onlineverdict.com, etc.)

also consider tax preparation, arbitrage trading, mystery shopping, medical transcribing, medical billing/coding, working in a virtual call center, quality assurance specialist (just go to voicelog.com), audiotranscribing (tigerfish.com, productiontranscripts.com, contractedwork.com) or even being a texting operator.

If you know what you are doing, daytrading and forex can be good money but don't risk it otherwise.

well these are some ideas and i hope they help! (sorry to make this so LONG) lol

You've probably heard of Myspace and Facebook right? Well I'm using a site that is just like Myspace and Facebook, except it pays you based on how many page views you get (commenting, messaging, blogging, viewing others' pages all count as page views). It's 100% free to use, see how it works here:

There are a lot of jobs out there, and there are a lot of scams too. There are two that I know of that you will be acting like a call center rep. You have to fill out an application have an interview and if hired they will tell you you may need a certain kind of phone and PC equipment, but you do not have to pay to get started. One is called live ops, and the other is called West at home. I have personally worked for West at home and they pay you by the hour depending on what company you are working for. Now they are not always hiring, so you need to check and see if they are hiring. They do not hire on the spot like these get rich quick or anything like that but since their reputation is on the line because you are a customer service rep, they seem to screen you to see what you are about. Hope this helps.

You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

Ella,

it seems that getting paid to stuff envelopes is a thing of the past.
Modern technology and the internet has taken care of that, the machines do all the stuffing of envelopes and email posts for free!
There are many other ways of making money for free or very little outlay, you could make money from blogging or filling out surveys from home online to name just a couple.

I spent a lot of time researching different stay at home opportunities. I have tried a lot of free ones that did pay, but it was only a few extra dollars and I spent tons of time just to earn that. I am now in a business that I am actually making a living through. Please email me and I will be heppy to send you some info so you dont waste a lot of time and money.

most legit "work at home companies" are usually larger established companies that offer sales positions, project management, data entry/billing to folks who want independence and convenience.

you may want to contact a recruiter/headhunter to find out where you could apply for such a position.

http://my-data-entry.blogspot.com/

But dont pay them any fees!
