If you have references, then at the bottom put "references are available upon request." It will add credence to what you're saying. Also, if the people aren't people you already know, you may want to do an informal interview with them before sitting and have at least one parent with you for your own safety. |

Its a good poster. I have one question though - How will you be able to give 100% attention to the children if you are cleaning or walking the dog? I can't even do 100% and I only have 3 kids. And I would advise a set price or someone will talk you into doing a lot of work for nothing. Good Luck. |

I think the best advise for your flyer is to 'bullet' it. People don't want to actually read anything..make it short and sweet-people should remember the basic idea with just a few words. Don't put anything on the flyer that you can say to them when they call you.
Have a 'happy', 'kid friendly' background- balloons, suns, or something like that..
Take a look at this-
Name: Brooke
-15 years old with 3 years experience
-General knowledge of First Aid, CPR (if they call you and want to know where you got experience, you can tell them)
-Working towards babysitting certificate
-Trustworthy, reliable, loyal responsible!
-LOVES kids!
-Negotiable per hour price (again, if they call you, you can tell them the factors)
-Will do simple house work (same disclaimer as above)
-Babysits for children 10 mo.-10yrs
-Lives locally, will work locally!

Looks like a very good ad for yourself!
The only thing you may want to consider is taking a bit out of this part: "I am trustworthy, honest, reliable, loyal, responsible, and a great, loving babysitter".
Its coming off as a bit much. I understand you're trying to say how honest you are... but that seems like you're overdoing it a bit to me. |

Looks good Brooke, but two suggestions. I'd say "Hi, I,m your neighbor Brooke". And call the American Red Cross and take the CPR and 1st aid thru them. It's quick and you get a card saying you're certified. This will make a huge difference in getting jobs. Good luck. |

you should give an amount per child. never negotiate this is what you want or they can find someone else. believe me it is better that way.
example:
$2.00 per child per hour
2.50 after 8pm and on week-ends
3.00 per hour per child for holidays.
use the going rates for your area.
you also say the same things allot reduce it a bit.. will baby set will clean, will walk dog

prefer children between the ages of 10mths and 10yrs.
are you also licensed? or just working on a safety cert.
it looks like you are trying to fill space and that is not good. be more creative but don't over do. if i were looking for a baby setter i usually ask some one i know, or that lives near me. the schools here have a list of available baby setters. there is really no need to say you only baby set locally. you should only put your flyer's in areas you are willing to go. a mother will only call you if your number is a local one. also do you need transportation to my home or do you baby set in your home also. |
