I just purchased an item for 150 dollars on ebay, and the seller has not contacted me in about four days regarding my item being shipped to me. What can i do to ensure that the seller will send me the item that I have won? What if he doesnt send it?

you dont know.... you can only hope they have the integrity to send your item. Pay for you items via PayPal that way its insured by them, and ifyou dont get it you can file with them to get your money back |

You can only judge who you're buying from by their feedback, if historically they've been a good seller it will show there.
After 4 days you can email him through your purchase page and ask if the item is on the way. If you paypaled the money they are usually sent out in 3 to 5 days. If you sent a check or money order, more like 10 days. Many sellers state in their page that personal checks have to clear their bank before they will ship.
If he doesn't respond at all you can go through Ebay's dispute system after 10 days minimum time. If you paid through Paypal they have their own system in place for refunds. You don't normally get all your money back though, I got stung twice in a year.
Doesn't guarantee you'll see the money, paying with a credit card on paypal is the way I do it just to make sure I have someone who will refund my money if the item doesn't show. |

You must try one last time to contact the seller via ebay " ask seller a question". If you do not have a timely response with an answer that clarifys the situation contact ebay customer service.
What rating did this buyer have?
Most sellers will not risk having a negative feedback because it will severely hurt their business. They make a contract with you to give you the item, it is legally binding. Ebay customer service will tell you what to do if further action is required. |

Before you bid or pay for an item on ebay, be sure to check the seller's ratings. People rate their experience with every seller and buyer. If they have really positive ratings, then chances are that everything will work out great. I have never had a problem. However, if several days have gone by and you have heard nothing from the seller, send them a message asking why you haven't heard. Also, if you get no response from the seller, contact ebay and paypal. They have dispute resolution systems in place. Also, if you used paypal, they offer buyer protection. Look on the site for more info. |

You shouldn't worry too much, if the seller fails to send you the item you can always leave a negative rating to the seller so that it would hurt their reputation. Also if you paid with paypal, you are secured because you have proof of payment. If they don't send the item, you can get help from ebay and paypal to get your money back, and I think ebay has a protection program that covers I think up to $200 if you do not recieve an item that you have paid for. |

I had a very poor experience with eBay and I will never buy
from them again. But to answer your question, somewhere
on the page where you bought the mdse...it gives the name
of the seller's company and their email address and phone
number. Start hollering!! Always pay with PayPal and they
will help you.
You can scream at ebay but they will only say "contact the seller". I have found its much better to buy directly from the seller or store. |

The eBay site is set to work with people trusting each other.
Look at the seller's Feedback, usually found near the top-right corner. Is the seller a beginner, or been around awhile?
I would suggest that you contact the seller directly; usually a link titled "Contact Seller" can be found on the auction page; usually half-way down. Just ask the seller when the item was mailed.
If the item isn't received within a reasonable amount of time, you should open a dispute with the seller.
Both yourself and the seller must respond as to what the dispute is about, such as payment and non-receipt, item was not as described, etc.
Did you pay by PayPal? The internet should have sent you a receipt for payment. |

This is what happens. ebay will not accept any responsibilty. They will send nasty notes to the seller and close their account. That's about it. Happens to everyone sooner or later. |
