No don't do it. Most of them will just give you a whole lot of spam and some even want you to give them money. Which will 99% of the time just be a total rip off |

Well I don't exacly have an answer, but I think you're talking about just taking surveys for money. I found that on bored.com and I always wondered about that. I think you have to be at least 13 for those. I don't know about secret shoppers. |

There are definitely legitimate mystery shopping companies out there. I actually schedule shops for one company called Shoppers Confidential. The key to making real money as a mystery shopper is to sign up with as many companies as you can. Try googling "mystery shopping" and you'll find lots - just never pay a fee to join. (If you are requested to pay, it is most likely a scam.)
You are more then welcome to visit and register as a shopper on our website at www.shoppersconfidential.com (click the "Shoppers" link)
As for online surveys, most companies either offer entries in a draw to win something or a point system versus paying cash. It takes quite a few points to earn before you are able to "cash" out. I'd proceed with caution and read the fine print before joining any. |

How do I say this without sounding like every other person on this website promoting their scam websites?....
I'll just be completely honest....
Most of the sites you will find online are scams.
There are even sites out there that do pay you and are still scams.
For example:
Cash Crate - I don't care what anyone says, this is a scam.
They pay you to sign up and give away your personal info, sign up for credit cards, and click on links.
They will pay you for this, but you will be flooded with junkmail and spam, and they are making way more money off of each of your clicks than you are.
Avoid it and any other site like it.
Legitimate survey sites are run by market research companies. They have privacy policies, and do not sell your personal info or have you sign up for crap.
My three favorite sites:
Survey Savvy
Opinion Outpost
Harris Poll Online
(here is where I start to risk sounding like everyone else).
If you are interested, I keep a running list of reputable survey sites on my webpage with the age requirements for each site. I also have an article for how to get into mystery shopping, but for that I believe you have to be 18. (here is where I start to risk sounding like everyone else).
The truth is, there isn't a whole lot of money to be made taking surveys. No one is going to pay you to sit on your butt all day and take surveys.
The legitimate survey companies that exist either send you around one survey a week or less worth between $1-$5, or give you entries into sweepstakes for filling out surveys.
Any site that promises big money is a scam.... no exception.
If you are still interested, check out the site:

Queenie knows it all.

I don't think they will take a 14 year-old.
But you can baby-sit, or clean house, or help with errands to make money. |

At 14 i'd look for other ways, one reason is your age. Babysitting or even helping people with housecleaning. Spring cleaning is around the corner. That way you might could acquire what some may consider junk and want to throw away and you could have a giant yard sale and make more.. |

I have done secret shoppers. They are legit. You can find the best ones on snapajob.com. The only thing, don't expect these to big buck jobs. They depend on the type of assignments they present to you and they also are not always easy to come by. Its pretty much gas money for you, as to what you will get paid from these jobs. On line surveys, never done. I am not too trusting of them. However, unless you have a permit to work, I don't think they will hire at 14. Good luck! |
