What do you think is the best thing to sell on ebay?
I want to start selling stuff because 1. Obviously I need the money. And last time I sold stuff I made a nice amount. A few months ago my aunt gave me about 30 precious moment statues. She told me to do whatever I wanted with them, if I wanted to sell them on ebay or whatever she didnt care she just wanted to get rid of them. So I sold them and ended up making about $200 (after all the fees and shipping). So I know its a good business but I just dont know what sells. Aparently those did but there too expensive even on clearance to buy then put on there.
Like movies, clothes or what?

When considering what to sell on Ebay, we have to look at two things - the initial cost and the shipping charges.
Trying to find a website where you can purchase wholesale items and resell them on Ebay is much harder said than done (trust me, I've tried). Many times the money you make is eaten up by the listing fees.

People will buy anything, so it is best to just do trial and error.....I bought a Harley Davidson t-shirt about 5 years ago on sale for $10.00...I was gonna throw it out, but decided to put it on ebay...the winning bid was $17.00...who knew! One man's trash is another man's treasure. |

Ebay isnt to bad a selling machine but there has to be better ones out there. I sell my season football tickets on there but I dont alwasy sell or turn a profit. |

I have sold some things on ebay with much success and some with none at all. Used movies (especially VHS) are more difficult to to sell, as are clothes. Electronic type things (actual machines or unused DVDs) are easier. Old, antiquey, collectables are easier too. Good luck...let me know if you find other good secrets! I could use them too!!!!! :) |

there are different ways and idea logy of start up on eBay,
If you dint have too much to invest, then you can list items for others and charge them a 30% fee thats pretty standard, There are lot of people who want to sell stuff on ebay but dont know how to>. One of my asscoaiates looks for items in garage and yard sales and purchase from them and re-sell for a profit.
Once you get you feet in there , cell phones are profitable items. |

right now im selling geocoins, and have done quite well, these i bought 3 years ago or more and are hard to find so i have been selling them for between 5-100 bucks a peice, so im turing a decent profit, i sold about 200, im now about to sell about 100 DVD-and BLU-RAY DVDs as for trying to make a profit off Ebay, its not gonna be easy IF you dont already own the stuff. one thing i did win out on, i went to a yard sale found an old board game named Dark tower i looked on Ebay for the fun of it and they were going for 300 bucks! i bought it for 3 dollars lol. mine was missing a few peices so it sold for about 225 lol. |

I have sold on Ebay and just about everything sells..the trick is to find out whats the hottest thing selling in a category. If your trying to sell clothes what items are getting the most bids? For example, my daughter used to do pageants so I started selling her old pageant gowns and outfits and madeall the money back and then some for some itmes that were much in demand. Also, the look of your ad and the picture has a LOT to do with whether something sells well for u or not. So even if your selling shovels, it better be a shovel thats in demand right now that people are bidding on. |
