Selling an item on ebay?
Could I post an item on ebay....than when someone purchase it take the money and purchase the item than ship it off. Is this legal to do? Additional Details for example: I see a cell phone..on sell at a website...i post it but i dont really have the sell phone but just wait until a person buys it than i purchase it from that money and send it off to them
Yes you can do this. I sell on ebay also. I have many websites that I buy things from. This is how I do it....I list an item (I don't have the item) then when someone buys it, I wait until they pay for it, then I go order the item from the website, and have the website ship it directly to the buyer. I make allot of extra money this way. Sometimes the buyer pays like $75.00 for it from me, but I buy the item for like $25.00

I think this would work. I am not sure if it is legal or not but people sell stuff all the time on eBay and Craig's List. I don't see how this is any different. Make sure you follow through though otherwise your score will go way down.

It states in the rules that you must have an item in stock at the time the auction is listed. But, on the other hand, how would anyone know? As long as it gets shipped within a reasonable time everyone will be happy.

There is a very good chance that you would get less money in the auction than the item would cost at full price. That is why people buy on ebay, for a bargain.
Their rules say you must already own the item btw.
