on ebay they have shipping calculators you just enter your zip code and a box will appear in your auction for the potential buyer to check rates

ups.com you can go there it you know the weight and figure out how much it would be. as well you can even print off the shipping once you want to ship it and have it picked up by your mailman to save you the trip! :) |

just an estimate will work fine. and if you choose to do ups or usps, you can print the shipping label right off paypal |

Ebay does that I think. Since I am from Canada. I use 2 web sites. One is Canada Post.. I put in the measurments and wieghts.. and location (to and from). They tell me the shipping. I then use a currency convertor site (as all EBAY is in US dollars). Then I know my shipping. It takes about 1 mintue to find out the shipping costs.. very quick and easy. |

If you're shipping by regular USPS (US Mail) you can head over to their website usps.com and they have neat little calculators and stuff to help you figure it out. |

I racked my brain trying to figure this out a while back and finally ended up getting a postal scale.
If the items you are selling are the same each time, you could always go to the post office once, and ask what the item weighed and use this weight next time on same products and just print a shipping label out as long as you use the same box or envelope as originally shipped in. i did this or a long time until I got a scale.
Your main problem is that you don't know the weight, and without that, your are kind of stuck. |
