I'm 18, have a son, and am currently a part-time accountant. I'm taking this semester off and recently started thinking about becoming a part-time stripper.
I've heard they make good money... But I'm not looking to do anything other than dance... And I'm not sure what they get on average....
I know I wouldn't have a problem doing it... I'm just not sure if it's something I want to do because I don't know anything about the atmosphere or, as I said, what they normally make...
If anyone could give me some info. to help me that'd be great!

If you're at a decent club and you put on a good show, you could easily make $1000+ on a Friday or Saturday night. Assuming you don't have an issue with taking off your clothes, the biggest problem is that drugs are very common and the can be a lot of pressure to get into prostitution or adult films to make even more money.
But if you're comfortable with yourself and you are firm about your boundaries, then I would say go for it. At least give it a shot. You could work 1-2 nights a week and earn more than you would in a month at a regular job. |

i went to a gentelmen's club for my friends bday once. i'm a girl so i wasn't that interested in how they looked and stuff. they come around to the tables and talk to the guys (so that they can sell lapdances and whatever). anyway, like i said, i was more interested in what they had to say, so i asked them questions about the job. none of them minded. maybe you could do that. although, i was with paying customers so maybe that's why they answered all my questions. good luck, be safe. |

Depends on how you look. Not to be superficial but if you are not attractive it will not be worth it.
In that profession you have to make sure you don't get sucked into all the negative that can bring you down. |

Most mens club owners pay the dancers and hourly rate of say $8.00 and hour? and they get to keep all their tips. On an average night you can make maybe$200- $500 a night.
But for example if you are hired as a stripper for a batchelor party while you were working at the club,the club owner has a right to claim a percentage of what you were paid and a percentage of your tips. |

They do make lots of money, but there are probably quite a few girls in that life that get involved in drugs and...extracurricular activities, so you might not fit in, or you just might not be comfortable. |

I have been around the business for along while. The only way it will pay off, if you keep focused. Don't date anyone, stay clear of the Drugs there is a lot of drinking and drugs (coke) stay clear. I have seen countless girls say the same thing as you or same situation as you. I've seen few not get caught up. Understand its a cut throat industry. Just watch your back look out for # 1 and you should be fine. Dont let anyone talk down to you because you dance, do what you have to do for your famaily. So get out there shake what mama gave ya..... |

I never been to a stripp club, bit I seen in movies that those men can be real perverts.
If you want what the atmpsphere is like or want to learn some strip moves.
Watch the movie Strip Tease, the story is almost the same as how you describe yourself.
I never seen the movie though, just the strip scenes by demi moore =) |
