You should cash your check yourself, and if they ask for money say your check was less then it was. HIDE YOU MONEY and hide it well.
I had the same problem, my mom is a recovering addict so I would always have to lend her money for what, i dont know, she would say food, or gas or something but there was never any food in the house. So when she kept asking me for money and pulling guilt trips (like you were talking about) i would say mom, i work all week for my money and my check is less this week. Or i am trying to save money so i can buy a ______. even though i was too busy buying food for myself.
The same thing would happen to me to with food that i would buy. I remember one time I ordered a sub and by the time it got to my house i wasnt hungry anymore so i put it in the fridge. i even wrote on it DO NOT TOUCH and then i left and came home an hour later to find my sister eating it. Its such bull ****.
Living like this can be hard, believe me I understand. Lie if you have to. I feel guilty lying to my family, ESPECIALLY when they need help, but you have to live you life too. If you cant handle it, save money and move out. That is what I did.
Other things you could do to keep them from getting you food is get a little mini fridge for your room, you can get them for like 100 bucks i think maybe less if you check craigslist or the newspaper or something. |

Move out.
Stealing isn't going to get you anywhere. If you get caught you end up in a much worse position than you are now. The risk is so much higher than the reward.
Also, learning to cook for yourself will save you a ton of money. You could make that same pizza for less than $5 probably. |

NO WAY YOU SHOULD TAKE UP STEALING!!! If you are over 18 then move out and see what your parents will do. If you allow them to depend on you a co-dependency will develop. You will become an enabler. If your parents are able bodied then they need to get a job to provide for themselves. It is not your problem to take care of your parents if they chose to live above their means. Do not allow yourself to be cheated out of enjoying life because of bad choices that your parents made. |

I got you i'm in the same situation. Just keep half the paycheck and tell your mother shes out of luck, that she need to get her own job and if she has a problem with it. You'll move out.
good luck |

People who work hard, and dont get to spend any of their money, are doing something wrong. Stop working hard, quit your job and see what your parents do when they dont have your paycheck to count on! And start steeling if you want is never too late for that! or street pharmacist! Don't move out of your house, because you can't affor your own place with 200 dollars you make every week! |
