ok the company name is mona vie and i am planning to join it. The way it works is that I make money by signing people up for this. I dont really have to sell the product which is a $40. bottle of natural juice. My older brother says its a bad idea and he is pretty smart about financial stuff, but this sounds really good and I don't want to pass up this offer, anyone heard of this company or anyone has any advice? |

Alexis, I don't think this is the business for you. Mona vie is a good legetimate company, don't get me wrong, theirs a lot of money to be made in this industry, however I don't see you making it because you don't sound like your willing to do what it takes to make it. Running a business is harder than you think. Getting people to sign up to sale it for you, is going to be a difficult task. If your not willing to sale the product yourself, or have stand offish feelings and don't beleive in the products enough to sale it yourself, your income potential just dropped dramatically. I think this is one of the reasons why your brother is against it. In order to have a successful business, you need to push your own products as well, and gain the benefits from others pushing the products at the same time. This is what makes home based business successful. Just signing up people to sale for you, isn't the best decision. Another thing, it's not a get rich quick pyramid sheme. The design is a typical business model. Look at all the businesses around you, the design is the same. Your not going to get rich quick in any business unless you work for it. Not saying you can't get rich quickly, but you won't going the route your thinking. Your going to have to work hard and every day and build your business and that's WITH you pushing the products as well.

Even though Mona Vie is 100% legal (a pyramid is not), and they are doing excellent business, I would say you should not join.
The reason I say that is because of the title of your question. You think it is a get rich quick scheme, which it is definately not, and you think it's a pyramid, which it also is not. Therefore, you are not going into it with the right mindset and will fall flat on your face.
I market a different kind of functional fruit juice so I know what it takes to sell it and the opportunity. You have to go into it with the end result in mind, sure that your product can enhance others lives. You have to do some homework and compare it to other juices to see if it really is the best one on the market or not. You have a lot of competition out there so you want to be very sure before you start.
Your brother may know some things about financial stuff, but you would be better off speaking to people who are already in the industry and earning at least $10k/mo (that is not unusual at all in this business) and finding out how they do it. I work with people every day who earn 5 times that amount and they offer excellent advice.
Should you decide to go for it, keep in mind that there is a great deal of effort involved in building your business and you won't see anything "get rich quick" about it. If you do it right you can start earning an income right away, but only time will build that income, and that comes from training 3 people to train 3 people and so on.

There's plenty of information floating around the web about how bad these types of companies are, do some googling. |

Mona Ve is not a scam or a pyramid. It is definitely not a good idea if you do not believe in the product. If you are interested in this type of business, please email me. I would like to compare both the business and the product with a competitor so you can make an informed decision. If nutrition is not something you are a believer in,I would be happy to help you find an appropriate opportunity, because I believe owning a business is a good thing. |

NO one should join a GET RICH QUICK PYRAMID - and moavie isn't one anyway. Yes, the pay plan is in the shape of a pyramid, MLM's (multi-level marketing) companies are designed that way.
GET RICH QUICK? not going to happen unless you are a power builder with a down line already that you are taking with you. Right now Amway/ excuse me Quixtar is suing Monavie. The Complaint alleges that MonaVie competes unfairly by making false claims about its products. Do a google on amway vs monavie. I doubt that it will go anywhere, it's more the point of 'do some research on the product'.
No you don't have to sell the product, but you have to buy a ton of it to earn commissions and and those you recruit have to buy the product too....

This is a tough sell product especially in today's economy.
Before you join, know there are other options. First pyramids are illegal in this country. A pyramid does not offer any product just exchange of money. So the company you are talking about is not a illegal pyramid. Next most people in this country work for a pyramid of some sort. You start at the bottom and get promotions and pay raises as you climb the ladder (pyramid). Also take a look at the back of the United States $1.00 bill and tell me what you see. The correct name for this type of company is Network Marketing Company or Muliti Level Marketing (MLM) 100% legal.

I agree it is definitley not a get rich quick scheme I have heard great things about this juice but it's not for everyone.
And with the way our economy has been I'd say selling a $40 bottle of juice may be harder than you think.
