Being a sales person is not the ideal way to get your self esteem jump started, because you WILL hear NO a lot no matter what you're selling. Avon sells itself. You just need to let people know that you are selling it. You can also host parties where you show your top selling merchandise, fragrances like they do with Mary Kay, Tupperware, Princess House, Pampered Chef and many others. Check with Avon to see what they will provide for you in order to get a party hosted. |

sellin avon is great but it cant be over controlling..i sell avon now and which the best way to get costumer is go and leave book with your name and phone number on it..that how i got started but which since christmas has past my sells have gone done..but other than that its a great job.i hardly ever made any money from avon because i always seen stuff i wanted and just use my money to get my stuff...good luck with the avon! |

I have sold avon, and it has been a good experience. If you are detail oriented and committed you will see benefits. Avon basically sells itself and they are several ways to build your clientele. You have the option of of having a website that you can have customers go to to choose their products which is easy. If you advertise in a local paper or pass out flyers at supermarkets or offer Avon as a fundraiser for schools in your area..
I guess because it would expose you to new people and create a sense of independence it may help to boost your self-esteem.There are other methods to build your confidence also. You can find a hobby and connect with a group in your area or even join a local church to connect with people who have your well being at heart. If self-esteem is an issue connecting on this level would also provide you with accountability. |

I think selling avon is great. I'm a very shy person and by selling avon I have gotten the chance to met and get to now many new people. I'm a stay at home mom, and when I started to sell it wasn't really about the money for me, it was more because I missed working a bit, talking to people that could say more then 5 words and all that. Avon helped me with that, I had just moved an hour away and knew no one here when I first started selling. I now have some pretty good friends here that I first met due to them calling me with orders. Now I'm a unit leader (I sign up new avon reps) and I love helping people make thier avon business successful.
My best tip for getting new customers is to leave your books everywhere you can. I walk neighborhoods and hang the books on doors. I have picked up 90% of my customers this way. |
