I usually use staples, but I usually don't care if the document is pierced. There are times that I need for the paper to remain virgin and will use a paper clip in those instances. |

I prefer paperclips. They look better, you can draw around them and build things out of them. Plus, there are more options as to what you can get, i.e. flower design. Plus you can take it off if you need to add a paper, its easy to remove and you don't get stuck when trying to remove it.
Staples are okay. But I don't like to remove them, I always seem to get "bit" by them and they aren't as pretty, unless you buy the colored ones like I prefer. |

Paperclips--you don't mess up the appearance of your papers and if you should need to have the papers spread out all you have to do is remove the paperclip. |

I like binder clips. They are the best of both worlds! They are more secure than paperclips, but are easily removed. |

Depends on the permanance of the job. Paperclip easily removed, but can also easily fall off. Staple holds tight, even if you want to get it out.
