The only thing you could do is sell on ebay. Buy some items lower than retail then sell higher than what u bought. Simple.

Go to garage sales and buy random items, then relist them on eBay. Have ur parents help you set up a selling account. My sister does this and makes some nice money on the side.

Hello,
Don't listen to these negative comments. If you are serious about starting a business, then you can. My husband didn't know much either when he started out. But he managed to learn as he went and now has a successful business.
1)You can sell anything you want as long as its legal.
2)As far as profit, it depends really on you. Some people may completely fail at doing one thing, while another person sticks with it until they master it.
3)Most things are legal, but you have to learn the hard things such as: getting a business license, pay taxes, basic booking, etc. You can find most of this info on your state governments website.
4) start a home business & sell online, start a "brick & mortar" type store. It's up to you

Here are some sample ideas of making money: Websites, eBay, eBooks, Affiliate programs, Online Retail business, etc. You will have a lot to learn, but if you stick it out you can succeed. Good Luck!

Also, here are some great entrepreneur/business articles to get you going.

When i was a teen i started a jewlery company. you can buy wholesale jewlery and make a great profit on it. The company I went through had their own brochures with msrp prices on it so the buyers could see the product and price. Buy a few brochures and leave them around town (i.e. convenience stores, coffee shops, library, etc.) Just put your contact info on it and people will call you, also there is so much to do with the internet now a days, you could pre order and sell them on eBay or another auction site. you will need to claim this income, you can start a business very easily online, they will mail you your information.

9 years later and I am still self-employed!

Good luck to you.

I know a guy who started mowing lawns as a teen. This is all he did every day, all day long, during the summer. At first he had a push mower that he pushed to the houses to mow. With the money he earned he bought a truck and a back up mower. Word got around to other home owners that he was reliable and did good work, so eventually he employed his friends to help with all the business he was getting. Now he owns a small fleet of trucks, riding mowers and trimmers and has a staff of employees who mow for him.

Start small and build on that. If you are responsible and focused you'll have a better chance at success.

As far as suggestions, it really depends on what interest you. If you like nice cars you can print flyers and distribute them in your neighborhood advertising a carwashing / detailing service. If there's a particular craft you enjoy you could look at starting an ebay store.

good luck

You can make customer jewelry, offer babysitting services, cleaning services, odd jobs around the house for people in your neighbhorhood, run errans (you may have to wait till you get a driver's license for that one), offer to help not-so-popular people dress better and look better. Offer services in something you really enjoy. Learn to sew and start designing handbags, hats.

well you can start a business online, get an e-store then look for things that you can make that will intrest teens. OR i have a better idea but you have to promise me if it works you should send me a gift:)

create a website and let teens similar to your age sell thier used stuff and you only be teh middle person. or should i say the shop owner. they place thier ads and pictrues of things they have and then someone else buy it through you .. you get a small commission on each sale. your job is to promote that site in your community and then it will grow slowly ;)

PS. ONLY TEENS stuff or thing that intrest teens that would be the theme of your store.

you should get a E-bank commerce account if you want to do Electronic sales but if you will start in yoru community you can accept cash on delivery within your town.

Just one thing "stay focused and never stop in the middle of the road".

PIMA CYCLE = Plan , Implement , Measure then adjust .

follow these ideas and y ou will be fine

wish you all the luck

Hi, check out many direct sales applications, some of them allow ppl outside of 18 to sell them. Its already a set down market, there is already ppl who know what to do with that & ppl know the product.

OR, use this at as a time to learn a business, perhaps like learning how to run a coffee business so that you can eventually buy one some day.

Or try doing craft fairs and selling your own wares?

Or try your hand as a service oriented business.

hello,
in almost all countries im aware of, you have to be above 18 to start a sole trader business. if you are +18, shouldn't be a problem. if you aren't, then i think you should seek for some legal advice in the country you live in. try to ask a parent/gaurdian or a trusted adult to help you out.

do some market research in your city and see what items are popular, which ones have the most money, etc, then decide what you have to sell.

once you've decided what you're going to sell, you can buy goods in bulk from the suppliers warehouses, as you'll get the cheapest price there.

you can even become a broker or something. ask the suppliers for comission to sell your products or something.

best wishes.

Mike
You could mow lawns.

Deliver the paper

Sell stuff on the web.

But being your age, you wont be able to start a traditional business, as you cant get a loan or sign a contract.

PaulyM
Mid teens means your under 18,sell what ever you want, because buying and selling is a form of a contract, and you have to be 18,and up to have a legal contractual sale.Start on EBay,get some good dirt, don't laugh!,and some grass seed, and little baggies. Now go to a web site and take a good recipe for wheat grass, now you will sell wheat grass kits,so people can make there own wheat grass. From there you can sell the bullet,to turn the grass into juice, then you can sell other related products.Remember who gave you this idea. The guy who sells rubber noses to clowns. Not kidding wheat grass is a Miltie-million dollar business.I can show you the stats.Health food is a big seller on the net.Good Luck,I need to go see how my home made chewing tobaccos doing.

You need to have a really good idea before you can even consider starting a business. Start up costs will also be an issue so I would recommend getting a job and saving up some money before pursuing this further.

9/10 businesses fail in their first year. Keep that in mind when your investing.

Not such a good idea to start a business when you have no clue about it. Besides, you need money to start a business, no one will give a "mid-teen" a loan. Grow up first.
